so the ooc writing thing is its own discussion and you know the whole ‘you dont see a character for a while or you get too attached to one but the story doesn’t move fast enough for you to learn who they actually are and you end up with a closer attachment to the idea of the character you’ve constructed in your head than their actual canon characterization’ argument we’re familiar with it by now.

but what about that with designs. like after not seeing your fav for years and drawing fanart and thinking of them and putting moodboards together and doodling little outfits and style types you think they’d wear or would fit their personality and doing that for months and months and when they finally show back up in the source material, or you go back and look at them, its like. what the fuck. who are you. like you ARE my best friend baby boygirl but youre so undeveloped. youre so raw. premature. where is your juice
