man............ playing through p*rsona 5 [royal] has me appreciating the dungeon crawling aspect of 3 and 4 more respectively.

although it was a purposeful hindrance of a mechanic, like having party members (as well as yourself) becoming sick from extended dungeon crawling (also just sick in general) was fun and impactful, regardless of your supplies on hand. a loving reminder not to overextend oneself and whatnot. and serves as a punishment, just forcing you to wait, watching the deadline approach ever so closer, before diving back in. AND how it makes you HAVE to swap out party members because of it if you are itching to go back in bc you don’t have it???? BIG sexy.

as opposed to being able to just run through an entire palace in a single go, especially if you have the items to sustain yourself, and if you aren’t forcibly kicked out for story reasons. like instead of doing as the game says of taking my time, bc there’s no real reason Not to do it, i’ve just been running through entire palaces in one go. same with like available floors in mementos.

wheres the sick status. where did it go. i miss it. bring it back.

#dont get me wrong tho i've been enjoying my time playing 5 for the first time ever #just finished futaba's palace while there was still 23 or 24 days left on the clock (including calling card following day) #so like the second you get full access to it #i'm just like dang. kinda miss the repercussions of mission status: Sick. #like i distinctly remember in 3p always having to swap out party members #bc someone was sick and it made me try to keep everyone equally leveled at all times in case that scenario happened #but with 5 so far it's like i have the 3 i enjoy and have just been using the backup xp gain to level everyone else up #though will say with mementos have not encountered the Reaper yet but even then its like??? when does it actually appear??? #what is considered 'been exploring for too long'???? #this has been fueled by my desire to play through 3/4 i think #requisition approved
