how do i politely ask the ladies at my knitting group to not talk about politics in my peaceful place. when i go to the library to relax and work on my scarf, i don’t want to hear “i saw on fox news the democrats are accusing the republicans of conjuring the hurricane and refusing to turn it off”

#there's also been ladies sharing and discussing books about youth being pressured to supposedly become transgender and mutilate their bodies #and i've been told getting into medical school no longer depends on your grades it depends on your race #karen. please just crochet your little dolls and be quiet #of course when you ask people to not discuss politics they take that as an attack on their opinions #and i don't need drama.
