This is my final project. I chose the emotion of love to explore.
When ever I think of love I thin of my grandma she is the first one to tell me what it means. So I took her pink saree because it resembles nurture and love, and did flower embroidery on it that she taught me. Then the leaves are there because she told me the more leaves there are the more beautiful the leaf garland is, and likewise the more people you share your love with the more support you will have and the more happiness you will have. The last thing are the bangles attached by during. The string represents trust and the bangle represent love. I strongly believe that love depends on trust so if the trust (the string) breaks then the love will be crushed (bangle falling and breaking).
For our earthworks we were in a group and did three projects. One was done with a cave sort of place between two trees and we leaned long logs on it. The second project we made a heart out of dry leaves. The last project was flowers of two colors that were held up against a setting sky.
This idea came to me when I was planning to do something else for this project. So we took coke bottles and poked holes in there caps and started squirting the coke out of them into the air. The weather and the atmosphere really helped to bring the effect out. The light highlighted the drops when the coke was sprayed. The rain falling downwards really enhanced and at the same time clashed with the coke that was being squirted at an angle and brought a nice special effect to it. I also slowed down the video so you can see it better
This is what I did for my project i took leaves and colored one white and the other black. White reminds me of snow so it makes me feel like the life of the leaf is frozen, And the black leaf makes me think the leaf is lifeless. That is why I arrange them in that order.
I took two bright colored ribbons and kind of weaved my way through one another. I also used some ribbons to hang underneath the weaved part to give it a more 3D look. It looks best when the wind blows and the ribbons move around.
