@ms-scarletwings couldnt fit your other reply in but yes i agree. i tried to make it clear it wasnt JUST ang's ex friends, or JUST a lack of a job, or JUST harassment that led to EOL for ang. It was a big culmination of everything and if america had a better safety net they could still be able to live throughout it.

whats plaguing fandoms right now ultimately is virtue signaling and DARVO is in full effect. I couldnt mention this because i do not have cross sources readily at hand to back it up PLEASE TAKE THIS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT IT IS ALL ALLEGED!! but jera i believe was accused of talking to a minor at the beginning of all this happening (specifically in the max v jera part of the doc). if i did the math right, this minor was 16 and jera was ~22-24. ang was brought up to deflect and reestablish jera as a morally correct individual that looks out for the safety of kids.

we see this still with tai who self ships with that redeemed pedophile character. I personally dont care, but their moral stance is that fiction affects reality and there is no way to separate the impact of fiction on your real life moral stance. This is hypocritical to me that it is justified for them, if we consider the real life implications of this narrative, but it is not for ang. its deflection. plain and simple.

its almost like ritualistic sacrifice in a way. you choose one person to toss over the edge, be thankful it isnt you, and you have cemented your spot as "one of the good ones".
