/ee-'yar/ is the 8th month in the Jewish / Hebrew calendar. It visits us in the months of April-May, and is the month we celebrate /lag ba-o-'mer/ lighting up bonfires.
In Israel, it is usually the time when we celebrate Israel's independence day (April 26, not a Jewish/Hebrew year date), the day after its Memorial day for Israel's fallen.

It’s no joke - for every Jewish holiday there’s some special food. Even on the fast days — there’s the food you eat before and the food you eat when it’s over. Anyway, tonight is Lag B’omer, which is a relatively unknown and minor holiday, but still — food. Mostly bbq because the festival usually involves bonfires. And dessert? S’MORES! Well, I’m not having a bonfire and figure the next best thing to traditional bonfire S’mores, is S’mores chocolate chip cookies. Get the recipe by clicking the link in the profile of by going to my website. #smores #smorescookies #smorescookie #lagbaomer #lagbaomer2022 #lagbaomerđŸ”„ #chocolatechipcookies https://www.instagram.com/p/CdtC2Iur-2G/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
