Saw someone the other day say Mrs. Loomis is the most sympathetic Ghostface and it made my brain short circuit for a moment
#first off it bugs me when ppl just to say ANY of the ghostfaces can be sympathetic
#in the words of miss Sid their is no reason they kill they just choose to
#but like…Mrs. Loomis always came off as incredibly selfish and irrational to me
#I don’t buy for a second that this was some mothers love revenge plot
#she’s very obviously blaming everyone she can for her family falling apart
#and refuses to admit she most definitely fucked up as a mother
#obvs I don’t blame her for divorcing her shitbag husband
#but like if you claimed to love ur son so damn much why’d you just straight up abandon him 🤨
#like damn the way the movies make it out Mrs. Loomis doesn’t even so much as call Billy anymore 😭
#just straight up left and never spoke to him again
#(never talking to her ex husband again I can understand but like why not keep ur son in ur life if u loved him sm???)
#but yeah it feels like she was very much concerned with keeping her pride and own self image in tact before anything else
#she probably humiliated by the fact that her son turned out the way he did after she left
#and instead of maybe reflecting on her own faults as a parent and actually grieving her son and the victims
#she says fuck that and decides to blame everyone else and straight up plan more murders
#like sorry but no I can not sympathize w her one bit 🤨
#ma’am you will never be mommy voorhees 🙄
