i'm gonna be honest, i actually really hate the webtoon format for the singular reason that it's possible and even common to be unable to fit a single panel onto one screen. like i understand the design philosophy of making it easily phone-scrollable but it still sucks and takes away from the often-times excellent art.

#reading sunset phoenix and being unable to see the entirety of these beautiful butch mobster women at once is monstrous #women so beautiful your phone is unable to comprehend them in their entirety #and you can only perceive a small percentage of them at a time #like gazing at medusa through a mirror except she's wearing an unbuttoned collared shirt over a tank top #and also her snake hair is extremely short #how would that work for medusa? like would it just be little snake heads? #does she cut her hair? does that kill the snakes? or do they simply grow back like earthworms or lizard limbs #and every time she cuts her hair a bunch of venomous snakes start roaming around. that would be cool i think #what was I talking about again? #right the art is actually a lot better than 'western-style' comics a lot of the time because singular panels are so much larger! #but you can't fucking see them because you can only fit 1/4th of the main character's head on screen!!!
