My mom who just wanted to have a Bible study VS Me who ranted for the past 30 minutes about the entitlement some “activists” and “educators” seem to have when making posts about important topics

#stupid snake talk #i saw this one person who was talking about the foster care system in America #and it was literally like a month or two ago that I saw them but I never stopped thinking about it because they were so insufferable #they would make like an informative post about how the foster care system is bad & why people shouldn’t think adopting is as good they think #but then they also literally became immediately aggressive and rude to any questions a person had at all #saying things like ‘look at my other videos’ or ‘why should a person who suffered from the system have to find a fix for it’ #which like.. first of the second arguemnt doesn’t even work. one could (and will) argue that minorities or people affected by awful systems #SHOULD be the ones to create solutions because they know the situation best? #it’s fine if you personally don’t want to but like.. using that as a blanket statement is stupid #and secondly.. I did look at their videos #and 99% of them was them being rude as fuck to anybody who had a question. which is so??? #like you made a fucking post acting as if you were a source of information you can’t just pretend you didn’t do that and be like #‘idk. don’t ask me. or if you do look at my other videos first. why are you even asking x don’t you care about foster kids?’ #like guilt tripping and being a little bitch is not going to get people to care! #if you can’t learn to communicate with people nicely on a basic level then people will not care about what you have to say #you could have the cure to fucking cancer but if ur a fucking asshole people are going to not want to hear what you have to say #and for you to act so rude towards people who most just genuinly had questions and wanted more info is so fucking annoying #like if u wanna rant about the foster system just do it or see a therapist #but don’t frame yourself as someone who wants to educate others or spread a message and then give people 0 info about said message #it doesn’t benefit either party! #and this is only social media too.. #idk what it is about social media that makes people think anybody with a real genuine question is like.. somehow claiming what ur saying is #wrong or smth.. #but it’s rlly fucking annoying and stupid #like if you don’t want to educate people do not put urself in a position in which people will look to you for education #like idk the most basic thing u could do is jsut send them to other people who have the same ideas as u but will be willing to explain it #but no ur just gonna be an asshole 💀
