Sometimes I (a pretty average Tumblr user that doodles in class, often sings when the mood strikes, has whimsical interests, has recently discovered 50s fashion, is very cheerful but with a Tragic Backstory, and is also a Girl Gamer ™️) hear myself talk to the boys in my computer science major, and I get this out of body experience of perceiving myself through the eyes of these (very nice) guys who don't encounter a lot of girls and often don't have much going on in their lives, and I just feel myself turning into a manix pixie dream girl.

#no matter how much i try to fight it #like im not gonna say im not a gamer whem it comes up #but the looks that gets me #my saving grace is that im very tall so cute is not exactly how people would describe me #no one would take me seriously otherwise #its already a struggle to be one of the 3/100 girls in the class #ive turned to putting overt rainbow stickers on my laptop #but tbh if theyre as oblivious as i am they wont notice #im not into guys #is the point #but somehow i cant exist without anything i say sounding flirty to nerds #manic pixie dream girl #nerds #computer science #they dont see me when i spend half of the week laying in bed reading fanfiction because i used up all my social and math energy #gotta love long covid
