can someone explain to me like i’m a child all the drama with the clothes / jewellery regs

#i thought there were already existing regs? but now apparently there’s more? #anything that improved safety is a massive yes from me but i have a feeling i’ve not looked enough into these new regs #like what’s the major differences? why are the fia demanding such huge fines? #are stuff like rings allowed? bc i presume they’ve been a staple for years if for example any driver has been married? #WHATS THE DEAL WITH THE UNDERWEAR IM SO CONFUSED #it is bc of fireproofing or something?? #god i don’t pay attention to f1 for one day and all these things happen
