i have no idea what is or isn't unpopular with this team tbh i just think that while the story overall is worth reading and was worth telling especially at the time, a lot of individual stories and themes are unreadable due to mostly the racism but also other strain of bigotry present in them as well as lack of acknowledgment as that being a conscious element of the story that is dealt with instead of a writer's prejudices being written in :/
