OH also tonight i learned how to edit pbs files and compile them for reborn so i'm hoping it works for rejuv too 👀 i messed with a pokemon's bst and slightly increased the amount of pp for a move

i obviously dont wanna break the games i play and i still hold true to playing fangames legitamately at least once but MAN do i love charging headfirst into hard fights with a little baby pokemon

also since i'm so close to postgame with rebornsara, as much as i love using their pokemon im not gonna allow that save to progress beyond rhea

i think i left off on one of the balance puzzles in the tree? i'm probably gonna look at the answer for that one instead of trying to figure it out myself since everything on that floor is brand new and i will not kill more of my braincells trying to solve that.

The PokéDex is the same as it always was, goes all the way to Alola (not that we’ve seen many Alolan Pokémon yet).

Now, as for the Pokégear…

No phone functionality like in Johto, but honestly the map is WAY more important. Finally, let’s take a look at what this region looks like!

Ah, so the city itself is only a portion of it, I see. But even beyond that- that desert area…that’s the train line we saw in the game’s opening, that’s how we got to Reborn City. So Xera came from that city(?) in the desert before arriving in Reborn City, but…is that area where she’s actually from, or did she just come from there? And if so, where did she come from before then?

But anyways, what else…well, there’s a big building on the other side of the lake, which I’m guessing is Apophyll Academy, just like Victoria described. Beyond that, we’ve got the pointy evil red mountains near the Academy, the suspicious purple forest to the southeast, and the dangerously pointy mountains in the northeast! Fantastic.

Now what’s in the jukebox-

A h- yeah, I’m…not gonna be comprehending those file names any time soon, let’s just…leave that be for now.

And the Time and Weather app doesn’t seem to do much right now, so we’ll leave that alone too.

Are they talking about HMs? Don’t tell me this game is going to have those, we all know by now how much those suck! The stuff they do in the later games to change around how those work is a much-needed quality-of-life thing, I really hope this game doesn’t make HMs mandatory…

That’s an interesting way to get around trade evolutions. Personally, I like what they did in Legends Arceus with the Link Cable item. If I ever make my own fan game plans a reality, that’ll probably be how I do it.

Soooo…”litemode” is this game’s easy mode? Is that what Ame meant in the opening when she asked Xera if she had any passwords or codes to give her? Well, uh…too late now, I guess.

Okay so I've started Reborn for the 2nd time. For the sake of anyone seeing my posts on Reborn, I did start the game with the litemode, noitems, hardcap, allfieldapp and monodragon passwords.

The first two are to hopefully make the game less infuriating for myself difficulty wise while also not making it too easy. Hard cap and all field app are merely just for convenience sake. I'm doing mono-dragon just because I felt like having a dragon theme team because I just felt like using dragon types (as I'm aware the password only effects early game, so if I ever need to for difficult fights I can always catch new Pokemon, it's not a hard mono run).

Also I'm playing as Alice, if anyone's curious on which player character I'm using.

Okay before going into rejuv, I quickly did the passwords for reborn. I chose hardcap, litemode, easyhms and allfieldnotes. This is for my own sanity.

I was tempted to do a mono password, but I think I'll save that a different playthrough once I get to it. I am going into Reborn mostly blind after all.

shoutout to this team that got me thru the glass factory gauntlet in one try while only using one max revive lol. eruption really do go brrr

gyarados sweeping the 2nd fight by going batshit with the waterfall flinches definitely helped though lmao

#oh and shift gear klinklang is fucking busted on this field too #pokemon reborn #i was dreading this so bad and then i basically just rolled thru it lol #i think this was where i turned on litemode on my first playthrough bc i got stuck (and impatient) #ev training really does help. imagine that #flare plays games

i have way too much fun with sara's main team. houndoom lead with mightyena and lycanroc as backup sweepers if doom goes down, and absol and silvally to clean things up

i usually switch between oricorio, chandelure and decidueye/whatever proper starter i chose to put between sumi and silvally and the murder dogs

i think they're neat like that. they're also the main reason why i started assigning types to the newer ocs. forces me to use pokemon i usually don't or haven't tried until then.

#idk a thing about competitive team composition but those 5 have cleared desolation with ease #beloved murder dogs and a chimera experiment creatur...... #as usual with my teams trick room or just pokemon that outspeed usually give me trouble tho #this one has a real problem with fighting types because i have bad luck with play rough #even tho fairy is dark/ghost's only weakness 'gami resists it and cerb is neutral #gami saved my life on garret's gym battle (wasn't on litemode this time around) #doesn't feel like this goes in the oc tag

I'm not *too* upset about this because I actually caught up to where I am was without litemode with Miles's run after deciding to redo it.

Plus most of the strats stayed the same except the e4.

I do feel lame still lol.
