"Why is so hard to teach a puppy how to take a walk" with puppy!Virgil

Patton sighed down at the tiny Pitbull who was staring innocently back up at him. “Virgil,” he said sternly. “Come on now. We’re going for a walk.”

The baby Pitbull did nothing back wag his tail happily. Virgil just kept sitting in front of Patton, not reacting at all to the gentle tugging of his leash. After a few seconds, he nudged at Patton’s shoe with his nose.

“Virgil, let’s go.” Patton tried taking a few steps but Virgil didn’t make a move to follow him. In fact, he laid down and looked up at Patton sadly. He seemed to be asking Patton sadly why he was forcing the poor puppy to leave his nice puppy bed with his toys and go out into the cold.

Patton’s heart almost melted at the look. “Why is so hard to teach a puppy how to take a walk,” he sighed. He dug into his pocket and showed off the bone shaped biscuit that he had been planning to give to Virgil when they got to the dog park. But if it got Virgil walking then there was no harm in giving it to him now.

Virgil perked up and immediately was leaning against Patton and whining. Patton laughed and let the baby eat out of his hands. “Alright, now do you wanna go for a little walk now, puppy?”

Virgil certainly still wasn’t eager but he did start walking. It was a start.
