Me, now that Oppenheimer won all the awards I expected/wanted it to win and am free of the Academy Awards for another year:

#you may ask yourself…why do you care so much about an essentially meaningless awards show? #and it’s because i’m insane #the oscars #oppenheimer #tho as someone who’s been a Nolan fan since Memento this was a bit more personal for me #some personal vindication tbh since there’s never any love for genre directors unless they get ‘serious’ #and yet Nolan won for a film that was essentially a horror-adjacent scifi-tinged courtroom drama instead of a stuffy hagiography #look if he’s really the Kubrick heir apparent someone needs to slap a heavy mind-bending horror novel in his hands and let him loose #Christopher Nolan’s House of Leaves #and now back to my regularly scheduled horror fan posting
