Memories of You

Pride gripped the phone tightly in his hand. “Are you sure, it’s hers?” He tried to keep his emotions in check. 

“I’m sorry Dewayne, it’s (Y/N)’s car, and there’s a body inside. It was just pulled from Lake Pontchartrain.” Loretta tried to sound calm and collected. “NOPD, ran the plates. I won’t know if it’s her until I see the body.”

Pride closed his eyes. “We’ll be right there, you let me know as soon as you know...” He couldn’t finish the statement, he didn’t want it to be her. “I’ll see you soon.” He held his phone, looking at the screen. 

Scrolling through the contacts, he found (Y/N)’s name, touching it, he waited as the call connected. It went straight to voicemail. “Sweetheart, I need you to call me back, and let me know you’re safe. I’m coming for you, and so is the rest of the team if you’re in trouble. You can call anyone on the team, and just let us know,”

He ended the call. slipping his phone in his pocket, he started down the stairs. They’d just had dinner last night, and watched the football game. He had enjoyed spending time with her, seeing her laugh.

As he entered the squad room, his eyes cut towards her desk, she wasn’t sitting there. She was always the first one in, the heaviness in his stomach grew. 

He cleared his throat, causing the rest of the team to stop what they were doing and look at him.  “Has anyone heard from (Y/L/N) this morning?” 

“Not since Saturday afternoon.” Sebastian answered. “She and I went out for lunch.”

“What’s going on King? She usually beats us in!” Chris asked.

“Loretta called me, (Y/L/N)’s car was pulled from  Lake Pontchartrain. NOPD mad a positive ID on the car. There was an unidentified female body found inside. I can’t reach (Y/L/N), we are going to find her.”

Percy stepped up. “Tells us what you need us to do!”

“Sebastian, Gregorio, I need you to go to her house. Percy, Chris, and myself will go out to Lake Pontchartrain.” Pride walked over to his desk picking up his phone to call Patton. Maybe he could track her cell phone.

I don’t know how I got here, or even where here was! I looked down at my clothing. Yoga pants, running shoes,  and t-shirt. I stand up and start to wander down the hall of the dark building. 

 “My name is Agent (Y/F/N) (Y/L/N), I work at NCIS. My best friend is Sebastian Lund, I love Dwayne Pride...Chris LaSalle, Sonja Percy, Tammy Gregorio, and Patton Plume are all my co-workers. Loretta Wade is like a mother to me.”

A voice from somewhere echoed off the walls. “Keep trying to repeat it, you’ll never remember it.”

“My name is (Y/F/N)... I work at..... My best friend is Sebastian, I love Dwayne .Chris, Sonja, Tammy, and Patton are all people I know. Loretta Wade is like a mother to me.”

A name of a bar flashed in my head, I needed to write it down before I forgot it. I searched the floor frantically, looking for anything I could write down my memory. Finding a piece of torn back, and a ketchup packet, I wrote the bar name. 

I held on to the paper, careful so the ketchup writing wouldn’t smear. There’s a sharp pain in my head, I fall to my knees, my hands grasp my head.

“I’m...I’m....” I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to focus on faces, that were flashing through my head.

Once the pain subsided, I made my way to the door, pulling it open, I stepped into the sunshine.

Pride saw Loretta kneeling next to the body. he couldn’t read her expression. Looking at (Y/N)’s car, there was no damage that he could see. He glanced at Loretta, and the body.

She was the same body type and hair color as (Y/N), he held his breath as he approached his friend. “What can you tell me Loretta?”

“It isn’t (Y/N), look!” Loretta looked up at Dwayne, showing him the women’s body.

He closed his eyes, breathing a sigh of relief.  He turned towards Lasalle and Percy. “Search the car, see if we can find out who this is, and what her connection is with (Y/N).”  His phone rang, he pulled it from his pocket, hoping it was Sebastian and Gregorio. “Pride!”

“Agent Pride, I hope you find your lost agent before it’s too late. I see you found (Y/N)’s car.”

He looked around. “Who is this? Where is (Y/F/N)?”

There was a laugh. “You have to find her, she has no memory, and  the longer poison is in her body, the sicker she becomes, until she dies.”

Pride was angry and scared that he might loose her. “Tell me where she is and how to help her!”

“Helping her is easy, the antitoxin is at your headquarters waiting, finding your Agent (Y/L/N) is the challenge. She’s wandering the city, you have twenty-four hours.”

The call was ended, Pride held his phone in his hand, staring across the lake. He had twenty-four hours to save his agent. He dialed Gregorio's number. “Tell me you have something!” 

He had to get a B.O.L.O. for (Y/N), and have medics on stand by.

My mind was blank, I closed my eyes trying to bring up some memories. I saw faces of people but I couldn’t put names to them. I couldn’t even remember my name.

I stared at the paper in my hand, with a name of a bar written on it,  I frowned as I started to wander the streets of the city.

TBC on Friday night (sooner if I get low census because of the holiday!)

Some random thoughts on NCIS NOLA 5x21

Complicated doesn’t even begin to describe Hannah and Ryan’s relationship. Because five episodes ago Ryan was declaring he still loved Hannah and now he’s insisting that they’re separated.

Oh Tammy. I’m so sorry baby. But at the same time I’m glad she’s working on her issues she has about her marriage.

Lol Sebastian on the “please don’t hit me”.

Chris good to see you again and glad you were able to help Tammy out.

Pride yes sharing the news that Ryan showed up is probably a good thing but I don’t think you can mess that relationship up anymore than it already is.

Ryan... really your not affected by Hannah’s glare? Or her tone?

Wade. Oh how I love doc Wade. I mean she’s completely over Pride’s crap but she’s hilarious.

Hannah. You aren’t the person to call someone stubborn. Also I’m really hoping that we get snarky Hannah in more episodes. And her face when Pride and Tammy said they would be better next time. Lol.

But suddenly it makes sense of how a college professor managed to marry a ncis agent. He wasn’t one when they meet.
