after nearly losing so many people during the invasion, atticus wanted to ensure everyone was taken care of and doing alright. there were a few who stopped by his cabin to get their wounds checked out but he wanted to make sure everyone else was doing alright. one of those was davon, atticus heard that part of his cabin had caught fire. as he made his way to the cabin, the son of athena saw that the door was partially open. who might be there right now? "davon?" he called out as he approached the front door and peared in. "are you here?" waiting a moment or two, atticus finally decided to take a step closer. "i just came by to check on you, see if you needed anything."

The son of Hephaestus had been busy since the invasion. Between helping to contain the flames until people could douse the flames with water, carrying debris to the designated area and ensuring that the infirmary was in good hands, Matai found himself far busier than he'd like - but he knew that there were still some people that he needed to check in on. And one of those, in particular, was Davon.

If you had to ask him, he thought that Von was instrumental in their fight against the shadow dancer, the assassin and the son of Loki. Had it not for him, he was sure that he'd have gone down - and many of their allies would have gone down and not been able to get back up... and yet no one had been there to check on him and see how he was doing.

That's how he found himself looking for Von, curious as to where he was since the Artemis cabin was being rebuilt. "Hey Von," he finally called out as he spotted him, walking closer to the former musician. "You doing okay?" Between his cabin having been on fire and everything that happened, he was sure that he wasn't - but at least Tai was there for him if he needed it. "I know you were looking out for everyone, but has anyone looked out for you?"

               winter needed a change of scenery. after being by the lake that night, he decided to continue to walk around the camp until the fields were on his mind. he took a sharp turn and headed towards the direction of the grassy area. when he spotted the other godling, he wasn't so much surprised. winter took a liking to the son of artemis, since the two always seemed to work great in quests together. " hey, " he whispered, sitting down next to him. " can't sleep, huh? "

Sleeplessness was steadily becoming something he figured he might just have to deal with for now. Too much energy, not enough of an outlet, too many questions to be answered and no way of really knowing where to start digging. It's what had him trudging his way through the camp grounds themselves once the sun had fallen fully beneath the horizon, hoping to burn figuring out something.

Anything.

He was in the middle of a yawn when the back of his neck suddenly prickled, eyes on him, and he reached with his free hand for where he'd been told to leave his rapier.

It, obviously, wasn't there, but still.

"Hello?"

After the night he'd had the previous day, Jesse really did need some time to unwind. As far as he was concerned, he was next to useless in the quest. While his team mates were coming together to fight, Jesse was off... doing his own thing. Needless to say, while everything did turn out alright in the end, it had nothing to do with him. He needed to forget, to think about something else. So why not don a toga and party?

"There you are," he called out to Davon once he spotted him. Gods, if there was one person he wanted to see, it was his 'twin.' "I've been looking for you." With a drink in hand, he walked over to slide in a seat beside the son of Artemis. While the night was still young, and Jesse was far from tipsy, though he had a feeling he was going to be headed in that direction very soon. "Having fun?"

Snacktime.

If one considers kebabs and saffron steamed rice this late into the night 'a snack'.

The moonlight shines bright through the kitchen's high windows, diffused by the overheads as Arya deftly moves back and forth between countertop and stove. Even though he's on his third Pepperidge Farm Pirouette, the baton shaped cookies don't really do anything to quell the hunger in his stomach.

At a volume lower than the sizzle of searing meat on the griddle, Arya hums a random tune to himself, filling in the missing percussion with taps of his knife to the cutting board. He only pauses to take a bite out of the cookie tucked between his lips, bobbing his head to the song. Could he be more aware that anybody could hear his tone deaf humming if they were to walk in on him? Sure. Does he care though? Not so much.

the thought of so many people around in one place always made him feel so out of place. this felt like it was not going to be any different, so he was going to make sure to just walk in and grab some food and keep to himself. hopefully no one was actually going to bother him while he was here. this was his chance to open up, meet the people that he was going to be putting his life on the line for - and all he wanted to do was eat and be left around, even if deep down he did want to break out of that hard shell, let someone in - just he couldn't bring himself to for the safety of the others around him. looking down at his food, he began to start over thinking on if he should even be here anymore. his head racing and that was when he began to start getting angry at himself. the urge to just jump up and toss his food out was riding the edge - he needed a distraction, to calm down.

closed for @lunarxtique Rio looked into the tree his partner had jumped into for the night as they took a small break from the endless laps they were making around the camp. People at this camp sure did have some strange habits but he could see clear as day and could sense the shadows that pulled around him. "so what do you do during the small amount of the day that you are awake?"

"Come on, there's got to be something here." Virgil says to the medicine cabinet medicine cabinet he was currently crouched over. There was a lot of things Virgil missed from the outside world. Cars, TV, movies, surgery, shopping, air conditioning, corn sugar being in everything, surgery, bad weather, car accidents caused by the bad weather, preforming surgery on those in said accident, fuck has he mentioned missing surgery. He was looking around for a surgery kit of some capacity. Say what you will about Virgil and his ☆*healing power of touch*☆, no scars after a healing a fellow demigod gave him a hell of an ego boost. However, this demigod needed to something with his hands, like a mechanic was to cars, or an air condition repair guy was to an air conditioner... or a-- you get the picture.

"Hah!" He celebrates, finding some equipment for him to use. He was going to bring food from the feast table to practice a few stitches and sutures. However, the craving for these medical supplies was too much for the surgeon. Virgil's about to sneak off with the kit before flinching in surprise. He hadn't seen Davon enter the room in the midst of trying to look through medical supplies. "Kid, you nearly gave me a heart attack."

there were a few spots atticus liked to sneak away to when he wanted some peace and quiet. of course there was the lake but it was becoming a popular spot for the other godlings. one of the other locations was the amphitheater, used primarily for meetings. it was a beautiful day and atticus wanted to get some fresh air while reading. grabbing a snack from the kitchen, the son of athena made his way to the amphitheater when he spotted someone else already there. "oh," he stopped once he realized it was davon. "sorry, i didn't mean to interrupt you."

After coming back from the middle of nowhere Arizona, fresh from their rendezvous with literal cowboys and a centaur, Matai couldn't help but feel on edge. He knew that there were a few guys that thought similarly to him, that they shouldn't have let their guard down and welcomed the cowboys with open arms and holes, and he wondered what they were thinking now that they were back home. One of those that he could tell had thought similarly to him was Von, the son of Artemis that he had had history with prior to the camp, and he had easily found him after lunch one afternoon.

"So, what did you think of the cowboys? Really?" Matai asked as he looked at the other, curiosity written in his eyes.

Extravagance wasn't anything new to Matai. Long before he became a champion mixed-martial-artist, he had attended many galas and lavish parties thrown by his mother on behalf of his father or thrown by some of his father's friends, business partners and "colleagues". Of course, as extravagant as they were, they certainly didn't hold a candle to the absolute feast that was bestowed upon the godlings as a copious amount of food and drink are set upon tables and seats are gathered around the large bonfire in the middle. For the feast happening in the middle of the woods in the middle of - well, Matai actually doesn't know where they are, but it might as well be in the middle of - nowhere, it was definitely grander than some of the parties he had attended at mansions alongside his family while his father was trying to parade him around as part of the perfect family. And it had even some of the big Hollywood parties beat, too.

Glancing around the congregation of tables, looking at all of the other demigods that were seated and enjoying the festivities, he couldn't help but let his eyes land upon one he had yet to run into until now. Someone else that he knew had tasted the splendor that Hollywood had to offer and he wondered, briefly, how they thought this feast compared to it. The other part of him had wondered if, perhaps, Davon had been hiding from him - the two of them having hooked up at one party that they had both been at and had kept contact with, and occasionally got together, before their song of their blood called to them. Was Davon trying to distance himself or was he, like Matai, just busy training for the role he was prepared to take in the war that was to come?

Either way, Matai realized that now was the best time to approach. The best time to greet the other and see just where they stood. Did he want them to forget about their hookups and start anew, to leave the past in the past - as they were letting go of their claim to fame for a chance to be heroes that lived in infamy - or did he even want to acknowledge Matai's presence there? Whatever the case might be, Matai knew that he needed to know where they stood because at the end of the day, they were going to be fighting together at some point or another.

"How do you think this feast compares to the parties in Hollywood?" Matai started as he approached the younger male, a chalice of whiskey in his hands as he offered a dimpled smile to Davon. "Personally? For a party in the woods, it seems a lot grandeur than half the parties I've attended. Then again, I suppose Los Angeles is known for pretty wild parties and not necessarily grand ones, ey?"

Taking a sip from his drink, he moved to gesture in Davon's direction. "No wonder I couldn't keep my eyes off of you at that first party we attended, though. Figures that someone as beautiful as you would be the son of a God."

The way these drinks are set up has Arya feeling much more tipsy than he should. Years of wild nights turning into fun mornings blurred by a reckless shot after shot mentality have hardened his tolerance, but even his nonexistent liver wasn't ready for this. The warmth spreading through his body makes him second guess wearing the top half of the toga, even if it is only just a black sash on top of a black and gold body harness. He's feeling good though, coasting on his buzz while he leans back against the nearest wall and observes the excited bustle of the party. His head bobs to the beat of the music.

It doesn't take long, and he's been secretly hoping that it wouldn't, to locate the son of Artemis amongst all the attendees. Davon looks... well... flawless, per his usual, and before Arya knows it, he's pulling up next to him with a grin that may or may not give away his intoxication level. "Hey you..."

Rio finally had time to sit in the space and really look at it and the flower he and Oliver had created that night. The Freirerose. He sighed as he thought of the name. Sure he had let Oliver be fully in charge of coming up with the name it still had brought a bit of a tear to his eyes. Rio plucked one from the ground before hearing someone. It wasn't hard to spot Davon, even in the middle of the night Rio was able to see like it was mid-day. He bit the inside of his cheek as he looked at him. A few days ago Rio probably would have slapped the man in that face but that anger had all but evaporated "Oh it's just you." Rio turned his attention fully to the other man with a smile. "do you need something?"

ale was just about to be heading back to his cabin when he spotted davon coming out of his own. he smirked before looking down at nox next to him. "wanna help me scare a friend?" he grinned, slowly trying to come around the back of davon. trying to be as sneaky as he could be - which wasn't as sneaky at all. quickly running up and picking davon up into his arms, he spun the boy around while nox was jumping up in entertainment. "look at who we found boy - we should kidnap him huh?" putting him back down and looking into his eyes, he smiled - there was something different in alejandro, a change. "mind if we steal you?"
