I just have a question here why is it everytime there’s a dissenting opinion, it’s broken down into you white people just don’t understand anything. It’s because I’m not black? Not just I have a different opinion? I agree with a lot of what you said but one of my majors was AA history so I’m not blind to the slave catcher parallels. I just didn’t like a few scenes in the episode before last because I thought it was crappy writing. I am fully capable of understanding harm when it’s not in my face.

I’m from the deep south and though I’m not black I am a minority who has experienced racism from both white and black people alike so maybe my experience lends me a bit of a different perspective but I think it’s incredibly disingenuous to say if you’re not black, you’re incapable of understanding nuances and if you’re white you’re a racist who doesn’t understand anything. It’s like assuming all black people are alike, or all white people are the same. Throwing everyone who disagrees into the they’re not black so they’re incapable of understanding this thing pile is whack. It’s even weirder considering a white man and bunch of other white dudes wrote the show based on a series written by a white lady.

I'm going to assume that you know most white people do not major in African American history, hell most white people don't even take an African American history course. So: the post wasnt about you specifically. If you understood the references then it isnt directed at you at all (or at anyone its just me talking aloud).

This may surprise you but I do not know you, nor do I care whether or not you think the writing was bad. I have my own opinion you have your own stop assuming im out for your blood just because im reading horror with a black main character from a black horror perspective
