"Yesterday the US vetoed a UN resolution that would allow desperately needed medicine, food, and water into blockaded Gaza.

As hospitals run out of fuel, as families run out of food & water, now is the time to demand a ceasefire.

Roughly half of the population in Gaza is under 18, which means around 1 million Palestinian children were born into the current conflict. There hasn’t been an election in Gaza for 18 years. No matter what anyone tells you, they are not complicit. Their deaths are not justice.

Lastly: emphasize the struggle for Palestinian freedom is not an excuse to attack the Jewish people. I was raised to believe they are our brothers and sisters of the book. Just as innocent Muslims cannot pay for terrorist attacks, innocent Jews cannot pay for Israel’s actions

When we moved to the US, I made my first Jewish friend. He invited me to Passover dinner. We shared matzah for lunch at school. I danced with him at his Bar Mitzvah. Jews have improved my life and made me a better person. This is not a “holy war,” it is a struggle for life."
