#many ppl do fan art commissions. why shouldn’t fanfic commissions exist as well #i don’t think paying someone to write a personalized fic is ‘hiding fanfic behind a paywall’ #n if u rlly wanna talk about fanfics being a product you should rlly criticize fanfics turned poorly written published books #like. i feel like that’s a bigger harm. not a few people wanting $20 to write ur uber specific scenario w/ XYZ #and not everyone WANTS to write. but they wanna read. so they decide to support small fic writers #btw. the ppl doing fic commissions aren’t drowning in riches. at most they just have spending money after paying their bills #n yea sorry u feel excluded but commissions on fan work have always existed #no clur why fanfic writers get shit on for doing stuff that cosplayers n artists have done for years #idk i’m on like 2% energy n ao3 dickriders are bonkers. like i use ao3 too. they’re okay! steven gettinng paid $20 to write a 10k fic about #egg laying isn’t the monster u think he is! #rigby.txt
