Today on January 15th in activism and politics, marks the birthday of one of the greatest, influential and African-American activists, leaders and political philosophers of all time with a dream on the mountaintop; the person who fought for civil rights for people of colour, to end segregation, suppression and supremacy through peaceful and nonviolent protests and actions, the man who’s become not only a important figure in African-American culture, politics and history but also in forms of protest, justice and activism! That legendary man was Martin Luther King Jr. and it’s also Martin Luther King Day as well as Civil Rights Day 2024 in honour of him. Happy 95th heavenly birthday Martin Luther King Jr! And thank you for your words that spread across the world about justice and equality, your dedication to uphold protest and peace in non-violence and many more.
