thinking about how if Leo and Nico got together, Calypso's freedom wouldn't have needed to be retconned, making the gods look like incompetent promise breakers, and we wouldn't have had to watch Nico develop an instant crush on a side character

#obviously there are some logistical problems with this #mostly Nico and Leo being separated for the entirety of BoO #however... iris calls. Leo checking up on Nico when he can and Nico 'enduring' it but secretly being relieved that someone cared #also they would have had to have spent more time together Before. but i genuinely think having them go on one of the little mini quests #and bickering the whole time would have been cute #maybe at the climax of one of those mini quests they're like 'you don't suck actually. don't make me say it again' #like. like look at both caleo and solangelo's beginning dynamics #the bickering. the sassing. #THEY COULD HAVE HAD THAT WITH EACH OTHER #by mini quests i mean like. when Piper and Annabeth went to conquer fear. or Piper Jason Percy almost drowning.
