Honestly, since Hidan was in the Nara forest which is closed off to outsiders, it would have been infinitely funnier if Shikamaru had just left the hole open so that Hidan would just sit there and scream his lungs out to no avail

#'the screaming man in the Nara forest' becomes a folk tale in Konoha but it's literally a screaming man #then shika could even sit there and laugh at him when he was stressed out #maybe bring i/no and chou/ji along #i assume his team has special rights to go on in the forest so i could legit imagine ino going there and ranting about some nonsense #just because she knows it'd make hida/n's ear bleed which would make her day better
