when feelin like won first place on music bank the score was 50% album sales 50% broadcast score (before the new rigged system tho dw the win is legit). the latter being proportionally high compared to other artists, because they were the only group that’s even mid tier promoting on music shows in their first week at that time (because cube chose the worst possible promotion time).

the album sales that counted for the win were mostly preorders (going to say >90%), laid by people who were fans already. the song in itself got terrible results on streaming platforms compared to do or not and daisy (not even fans were listening to it) and the win was basically only achieved through still having somewhat of a fanbase interested in buying their album and them actively promoting on music shows and kbs radio shows/other kbs shows.

#so yeah the two factors behind that win is 1. a sufficient amount of universe existed 2. they actually actively promoted on music shows #so if cube/anyone thinks they got good results bc of the song sounding western mainstream and boring that’s not the case #it has their fewest melon/genie likes/streams since like 2017 lol #sparkling night is unprompted going to surpass it in melon likes #the fandom has shrunk now tho so I don’t think they can win on music bank again :/ #<- hoping to be proven wrong #the show and show champion shouldn’t be out of reach imo… not that they’ve ever won on show champion before but objectively it’s easier than #music bank #mcountdown has the weirdest system I can’t tell if their chances got better or worse there tbh
