#someone help me figure out why it hurt me so bad that my beloved sister in law #said yesterday that my kid sister has a bohemian style but that she (SIL) and I are just plain janes #bc she said it as a solidarity joke kind of thing #but for some reason it really really hurt me #maybe because i think of my style as loosely a little bit punk in a very understated simple way??? #i wear a lot of black and cargo pants and graphic t-shirts and doc martens etc. #like I've been leaning into the all-black aesthetic lately lol bc one of my friends and i were joking about #me having my emo phase as an adult and i was like lol gotta commit to the bit now huh? #like... idk maybe it's just bc my emotional regulation is shot this weekend (sleepytired and busy) but being referred to #as a plain jane wrt the way i dress hurt my feelings sjdkfjskfnskfj #i sound like a griping little kid sorry i just wanted to uhhh vent a little bit???? soz
