i think members of the public are allowed to check books out of the university libraries again finally so ....... i need to swing by the u soon and get my card set up and try not to miss being a student too much :(

shout out to u of a for allowing us plebs to still check books out. literally one of my least favourite things about working for u of t libraries was telling alumni the fees for just being allowed to go and look at the books in situ :/

#like again i get it u of t big international community dont want all the books disappearing when students need em #but like i also understand the frustration of being an alumni and you're not even allowed to use the wifi let alone look at books #members of the public could only use certain computers on campus for wifi and there would be literal physical fights over them #and i just remember thinking yeah i dont want to be here forever #personal hapo #hapo rambles #ualberta my beloved still lets me check out books from any affiliated library in the province #and apparently i can do that with my epl card if i get it registered #yeehaw yahoo #yeah y yeah alberta #u of t would be like urgh what do you mean you want to order a book from another campus in toronto #meanwhile ualberta is like ya let me check if another university in another city has that
