Angel slipping in the doorway in Graduation Day.
What Buffyverse opinion would have you chased through the village with pitchforks?
Anya's death was a full circle moment for her character, and was earned.
How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?
Angel shanshu'd and met up with Buffy after she formed the Slayer Academy and left it to Faith, Giles, and Willow. They live by the beach and Buffy breaks out the stakes every once in a while when the world needs her.

I prefer the retconned "AN-jel-us" pronunciation to "an-JEL-us."
Share a headcanon you have about Bangel or the Buffyverse?
The claddagh was a wedding ring. Buffy didn't know it, but Angel did, and he considered himself her husband until death did them part.
How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?
It wouldn't take much! Just a Shanshu timed so that Buffy isn't too old to get the most out of their remaining years together. And maybe an enlightening conversation between them.

At the end of Gingerbread, when Buffy pierces the demon with the end of the stake she's tied up to and asks urgently, "Did I get it?" SMG's comedic ability kills me at that moment!
What Buffyverse opinion would have you chased through the village with pitchforks?
Tara is bland and forgettable and I have never been able to jump on the Willow/Tara train - I doubt I ever really will. Rake me over the coals for it!
Share a headcanon you have about Bangel or the Buffyverse?
In a beautiful world where Angel gets to raise Connor and Buffy eventually reunites with Angel, they're the best hockey parents ever. Angel is assistant coach and all the kids love him, Buffy can't ever identify when a puck is offside and uses a noisemaker when the other team is really obnoxious. They always get Connor a treat after every game.
How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?
Honestly? They're getting locked in some beautiful Italian countryside villa estate for a week. My work is done. They come out of it blissfully happy and making wedding plans! Not very realistic but they deserve a fairytale ending and I won't accept anything less.

Buffy's and Faith's relationship is kinda boring. Faith and Angel on the other hand…the AI team should have kept Faith in LA. She fits right in.

Angel has serious middle son energy and his older brother died a useless (or preventable) death. TBC or getting run over by a carriage.
How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?
I already wrote it. As far as I'm concerned Far From Home is canon.

Spike is the appendix of the verse. Functionally useless but will randomly explode and ruin everything just to get attention.
Share a headcanon you have about Bangel or the Buffyverse?
I have this theory that Angel only ever wore the Claddagh ring when he felt hopeful or when he felt he had something to offer to Buffy (and the maybe even the world).
First off, I just want to put down the guidelines for Claddagh ring wearing:
Single but open to something - Right hand, heart out.
In a relationship - Right hand, heart pointing in.
Engaged - Left hand, heart out.
Married - Left hand, heart in.
Right, so when he gives the ring to Buffy in Surprise it is on his right, middle finger. I'm putting forward the suggestion that he wore it that way because she had yet to accept his offer of her own ring, or more pointedly his heart. He wore the ring indicating that he was not seeking out a relationship but his heart belonged to another. Essentially, he loved Buffy but was unsure if she wanted a fully committed relationship with him. However, her acceptance of his ring signified to Angel that she did want a fully fledged relationship with him. This was further confirmed by the consummation of said relationship that night. I have a feeling he possibly would have pulled back from sleeping with her if they hadn't exchanged rings. No proof, just a hunch.
OK, so now it is season three and Angel does not wear the ring at all, in fact he doesn't wear it again for an entire two seasons. Not until he is told about the Shanshu Prophecy. I think he does this because for those two years Angel had no reason to believe he could offer Buffy any type of life. The only two times he does wear the ring are when he is blissfully ignorant of the curse loophole and when he is given hope of a light at the end of the tunnel i.e. Shanshu and humanity. He once again removes the ring when Darla and W&H mess with him and he loses all hope in regards the work he does, the difference he is making, and the nature of his fate.
Basically, when he has no reason to believe he can offer anything he removes the ring. I think the ring signified hope and possibility to him, and Buffy embodies both of those things for Angel.
How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?
They start working together post canon. They both feel a shift in the apathy and coldness they have both been feeling separately during the years previously while they were separated. They realise that just being around each other makes a huge difference to their day to day emotional lives. They decide that they shouldn't wait around for some perfect time when they can be together. They realise that it will never happen. They seek out a way to resolve the issue with the curse and they live and fight together. It is a tough, challenging life, but one that is also filled with joy and love and gratitude. They die together in battle and spend eternity with each other in the Good Place.

Slay: Willow. Second only to [redacted] in my list of enemies. Good riddance.
Lay: Dark!Twisty!Wes. Giles just has too much Dad energy to boink.
Obey: Giles. Truly a terrible choice between "steal bff's baby" and "poison slayer!daughter because of tradition" but I am going with Giles in the hope that my fellow librarian will at least consult appropriate texts before ruining my life.

I have written Bangel fics, and I used to make photo edits and vids sometimes back in the day. My most bookmarked Bangel story is The Whole Point.
Funniest Bangel/Buffyverse moment?
The moment in Doppelgangland when Xander holds out the cross to Willow, thinking she's a vampire, and it doesn't do anything, so he pulls it back, shakes it and holds it out again. Cracks me up every time.
What Buffyverse opinion would have you chased through the village with pitchforks?
I love Faith, but I'm almost always on Buffy's side, and I think Buffy went above and beyond to help her in Season 3.
Share a headcanon you have about Bangel or the Buffyverse?
My headcanon is that IWRY was a test of Angel by the Powers That Be. They sent Doyle that vision of Buffy to set everything into motion; it wasn't really genuine.
I think there were "three temptations" set up for Angel to overcome: the Gem of Amara, the Mohra demon, and the Shanshu. Angel only proved he deserved the Shanshu when he was willing to give up all three of them. (Whether he ever gets it or not is another question entirely.)
How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?
I think Buffy's big wish was to be normal, and Angel's big wish was to be human, but I think both of them learn that getting what they think they want is less important than their bigger goals of helping people and keeping each other alive (and occasionally saving the world). So Buffy never gets normal, and Angel stays a vampire, but they find a way to fix the curse so they can help each other fight the good fight and provide each other solace and comfort along the way. (But I'd be happy with a Shanshu too! Any option where they're together is good!)
Last fic you read?
Kairos' amazing Older, which is a twist on Season 2 and 3 of Buffy, where she's one year older. (Yes, that means the Cruciamentum comes earlier in the story!)

Slay: Connor. C'mon, what am I, Saint Grace? This was the only possible choice.
Lay: Faith. Yes, please and thank you. Is it hot in here or ??
Obey: Dawn. This is easy, as I adore Dawn Summers with all my heart. I will happily sing pop music, eat cookie dough and talk about boys forever.

By the B/A contingent - Angel did fall in love with Cordelia although I don't think it was the same kind of passion he had with Buffy

Angel was always artistic and that's what he and his father originally fought about. Also he had a lot of siblings who died in infancy plus he was not the oldest originally.
How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?
Read my fic "Days of Future Past" which is currently being posted weekly. I will say no more.

The Reunion Trilogy by MCorey1317. Takes place 20 years after NFA. Very much B/A, very long and probably the best action scenes I have ever read.

Cordelia is not loved by me 🫣
I don't hate her and I don't love her…I'm mostly indifferent toward her, and at times very annoyed. I will say though, I do feel badly about the way her character was treated and she did deserve a better arc.
Share a headcanon you have about Bangel or the Buffyverse?
That Buffy and Angel sometimes sneak off to see each other at that place in the middle (you know THE place) and they've done it since he left, although not often but when they really need it 💗
How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?
Post NFA, Angel shows up at Buffy's doorstep in Rome and she takes him in. They get to know each other again, they fall into a comfortable routine of patrolling and training slayers and hanging out with their friends and travelling Europe, they find themselves inevitably drawn to each other but they try to take it slow. That lasts about 2 weeks. They ask Willow to fix the curse. She does. They get all up on each other and live happily ever after. THE END.
Basically, put them in the same city and they’ll end up all up on each other very quickly lol
(Ideally Angel Shanshu's and is human but even if he wasn't, I think they could have some variation of a happy life together for whatever time they have)

i love this question their comedy is so underrated. i think i have to say the scene in the beginning of helpless where she's telling him about going out with her dad, and you can just see the absolute panic in his eyes. plus the way he's trying to casually ask her out on a date is so precious as well. it's so good.

honestly i feel like existing as a huge angel stan in the fandom some days is enough to get chased…don't know how unpopular this is, but i kinda like connor. mostly as a baby, but i do feel really awful for him and i understand why he acts the way he does sometimes. at the end of the day he's a teenage boy who has literally been to hell and back and i have to sympathise with him for that. i also just love the angel dad arc in s3 it's one of my favourites.
Share a headcanon you have about Bangel or the Buffyverse?
i have too many!! mostly about angel (i think about him too much). a kinda silly inconsequential one is that he loves plants. he gets given that plant by a client in 1x04 and then in 1x06 he gives cordy a cactus and the apartment/office is covered in plants. and the same happens to the hyperion. even the garden in the mansion in s3 of buffy is just beautiful, he must have been putting in the effort.
How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?
the shanshu happens, they get together and spend some time navigating and working out their new life together. soon after she proposes to him, they get married and in my head i always see them having a little girl. buffy continues to be a slayer, but mostly through helping with and training all the new slayers in some sort of slayer school-esque thing, and angel is a stay at home dad <3

The only Buffyverse moment I can think of is when Giles walks into a tree in Earshot when Buffy reveals she knows he had sex with her mom.

That Buffy and Angel are soulmates. Also, regarding the times one of them wronged the others and didn't apologize (like Xander not telling Buffy about Willow's upcoming attempts to re-ensoul Angel, or when they all kicked Buffy out of the house just before the S7 finale)

I believe Buffy does remember what happened in IWRY. Either she never forgot, or she remembered while she was in heaven.
How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?
The two of them fighting the biggest apocalypse ever and being offered anything they want, them wanting the freedom to choose their own destiny. They still will fight the bad guys, but it'll be their choice, not their 'destiny'... also, in order for Angel to be able to choose he cannot be at risk of losing his soul, so...

What Buffyverse opinion would have you chased through the village with pitchforks?
I hate the retcon that Angel fell in love with Buffy when he saw her called. Did you see that sopping wet dishrag of a broken man in becoming part 1? What part of Angel looked like he was falling in love?? He was given hope for the first time in 100 years and that was it.
Share a headcanon you have about Bangel or the Buffyverse?
Bangel host holiday dinners every year and Angel and Dawn fight over who does the best decorations whilst Connor and Buffy gossip in the kitchen.
How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?
Both of them are so tied to being heroes and champions, in my opinion they could only have a real happily ever after if either both of them were able to no longer be slayer/vampire, or Angel’s curse was no longer an issue so they could be together whilst still remaining what they are.

When Willow called Giles and Angel out in Reptile Boy. Angel's face when Willow says "And you," lives rent free in my head.
What Buffyverse opinion would have you chased through the village with pitchforks?
I don’t care that much for Faith and would trade her without a second thought if it meant Kendra would be the second slayer. Faith was a source of a lot of misery for Buffy.
Share a headcanon you have about Bangel or the Buffyverse?
Buffy and Angel redid the ice rink date after Angel got back from Hell. Buffy taught Angel how to skate.
How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?
An apocalypse forces them to work together after years of silence. They reconnect while fighting to bring down the big bad. After apocalypse they get together properly.
Then Angel gets the chance to bring down the Senior Partners. Angel goes off to fight them and wins of course and the prophecy comes true. They take a break from their lives and go on holiday.
They still fight demons and Angel is definitely not a liability as a human.

Giles colliding with the tree at the end of "Earshot" wins hands down.
What Buffyverse opinion would have you chased through the village with pitchforks?
Pitchforks, eh? In that case, it'd have to be my least charitable Spike headcanons: Spike has vampire senses. Ergo, there's no way he didn't know that wasn't the Buffybot at the end of "Intervention," so he played it up in hopes of scoring points. He also overheard the Scoobies planning to resurrect Buffy in the summer before S6, which is why he played nice with them and Dawn. There's always a selfish motive behind his soulless actions.
Share a headcanon you have about Bangel or the Buffyverse?
I got thinking about that scene where Willow asks Angel how he shaves, and this is what I came up with: It isn't really much of a practical disadvantage to vampires that they don't have reflections because one of the senses that got augmented when they turned is proprioception/kinesthesia—the sense of one's own body. They can just tell what their hair is doing or if they've got something on their face. (But that means Angel knew what he was doing when he chose that hairstyle in the '70s. x_x)
How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?
Angel gets the Shanshu sometime before Buffy hits 30, and they get married, open a martial arts studio together, and have babies while training new generations of Slayers. Angel is comically miserable whenever he gets the flu or a cold. They grow old together.

Any time Angel gets petty, I find it hilarious.
What Buffyverse opinion would have you chased through the village with pitchforks?
Most of the 7th season of Buffy is Spike-centric and disinterests me. I'm uncomfortable but happier with season 6. Uncomfortable because of the Spuffy content, but happier because the story telling was clear: to show self hate, deep depression and the dark place Buffy was in. Season 7, however, glorifies him as a character and romanticizes the "relationship".
Share a headcanon you have about Bangel or the Buffyverse?
Pre end of shows:
I'd argue not head canon, more textual: Angel's Darla and despair arc in S2 of Angel ends neatly (if you follow episode chronology as timelines) with him comforting Buffy in Forever beside her mother's grave. Eventually kissing her and realising how little has changed between them in terms of passion and love, despite their individual journeys. I love that the trauma he lives through is resolved and then bookended with a scene shared with the only person who he has ever felt at peace with.
Post end of shows:
Buffy's finale perfectly sets up her headspace to be ready for a future with Angel. Angel's character's point is to SEEK redemption, not to have it, so I am almost at peace with understanding why we never get to see him be happy with her on-screen as a story ending. However from HER pov, who more deserves that penultimate happy ending with the only soul who truly supported her and understood her mission and her pain? My headcanon is that she gets this happy ending with him.
How would you have given Buffy and Angel their Happily Ever After?
First a reunion while Angel is still a vampire for the sake of bloodplay and the fantasy of vampire stamina matched by slayer stamina. This would necessitate the curse being addressed; I personally think Buffy would still be that one thing to cause him to achieve true happiness, despite everything he's been through since it first happened.
Then a shanshu plotline while they are romantically a part of each other's lives in an already-established, albeit limited, relationship. I love the idea of the transition being something Buffy would be witness to, as opposed to a common trope in fics where he comes back to her, already human. Then domestic bliss in obscene amounts of sunlight.
