2011

It's been one hell of a year. And I mean that literally. I'm surprised I'm still alive.

My parents has divorced - great. We all needed that, things are so much easier between them now. I love that they're still best friends and I love that we spend Christmas together.

I graduated school, much to my surprise. Not because of bad grades - oh no. But because of my problems. My school was so, so supportive.

I've gone through heartbreak and pain over someone I thought I knew - and it turned out I didn't. It still hurts me, even though I'm the one that broke it off. That relationship nearly killed me.

I finished NaNoWriMo this year. I still have a lot of editing to do.

I got to see Jennie again. Though I'm scared we're growing apart - I couldn't bear to lose her. She's one of the most important people in my life.

I've had the chance to get to know Kurt better. S~he's epic.

I had a nasty bout of harsh reality when my ex-therapist told me that with the right kind of medications, I could probably be cured from my psychological sickness. And he didn't mean depression - he was talking about me being a lesbian.

I've noticed that my ties to my friends are weakening. I've lost some completely. That saddens me to no end. I know I'm probably difficult to meet, but at least I've tried - tried to contact and suggest a meeting out on the town even though being in public is incredibly tough.

I still have my façades - I tell people I'm getting better, that I'm fine, that I feel fine even though I'm terrified. I hope that can change in 2012.

2011 hasn't been kind to me, mentally of physically. I've had to go to the hospital via ambulance more times this year than the rest of my life combined - my depression is getting worse and my will to live is getting weaker every day.

But I'm still alive. I may be alone tonight, but I'm alive. I see that as a small victory. I'll be alive to see 2012, alive to confuse the year when writing dates on a paper all over again. Alive to - hopefully - spend time with my friends. Even though I haven't been able to meet any in a while - more due to my migraines than the anxiety, I look forward to that. I miss them. God, I miss Jennie, the most. Because of the distance, mostly.

2011 has been a confusing year. It's been tougher than any other year, but it's not been all too bad. I have some great memories from it. So. Bring on 2012!
