Bare with me a bit before I get to my point:

So for the mini series(?) for Roommate turned girlfriend reader where Soap catches her reading all sorts of filth (and gets adorably jealous) bc he's the only one she needs to be drooling over, what if she did just that? Or a friend did it for her bc Reader rants about it and "it's all his fault in the first place" and bestie is like, I got you.

About 10 yrs back there was a "self publish" thing where you could pick any type of theme for your book, all you really had to do was fill out a few descriptions and add names. Even gave you the option to add your name as the title author. All very good, all written by ghost authors. Even gave you a preview of the first chapter to see if you liked how everything came out.

Reader's Bestie comes in clutch:

Werewolf romance (cannot let this one see the light of day)

Warrior and War-prize Wife (extra smutty)

Roommates to Lovers (too close to reality)

Stalker, dark romance 👀

Obsessed Neighbor romance

Town cop and local nurse

So on and so forth, "Happy Christmas and merry birthday, don't let him toss these!"

And it takes Reader a hot minute to realize that the characters on the book covers look frighteningly familiar. Bestie managed to photoshop pictures of her (Reader) and Soap.

And to say that Johnny loses his mind over these is an understatement 😆

"Yer friend is a good lass, these are the only romance books ye can read!"

As a thank you they introduce Bestie to Gaz or something 🤭

But overall, I really live this mini series!

YES! I love this idea!!!

I can imagine him flipping through the book made with only him in mind all smug, murmuring to himself "I'd do tha'."

The cover is soap but it's the photo of Niel in a kilt shirtless!!

"Ye can read these when I'm not home so ye don't forget."

You roll your eyes at him playfully, " So cocky."

He hugs you from behind, tossing the book onto the pile. He litters your neck with kisses before stopping suddenly.

"Wha's tha' one about?" He points to the pile.

"A wounded soldier falls in love with a nurse while he's her patient."

He chuckles into your neck. "Hmm... Ye still got tha' outfit from Halloween?"

"Johnny!" You fight his grasp.

"Ahh! Nurse! Please, nurse!"

You escape his arms and run off. He chases after you laughing and yelling at the top of his lungs, "Oooh sexy nurse! This soldier needs your help!"

Let's just say he finally coaxes you into putting it on, assuring you that there's nothing to be embarrassed about with a little roleplay.

He comes home after a mission with some new cuts and a busted lip.

Now the nurse costume lies on the ground in pieces after he couldn't be a good patient and even wait for his physical to be over. The tight skirt tears up the side as he throws your legs over his shoulders. One hand on the headboard and another around your neck as he tells you what a good little nurse you are for him.

Heya ! Please dont take this as me rushing you or anything. im just curious ! Is the "who's wife is that" with price a multi chapter fic, or is it like a drabble with an open ending ? Im just curious ! It was a really interesting idea, btw and you wrote it so well !

I'm working on the second chapter right now actually.

I want it to be a multi chapter fic but I don't have much experience writing anything that long so the struggle is a little real right now. But I got some twists and turns in mind.
