As a result, individuals who were mis-sold PPI became entitled to claim compensation for the fees they had paid.
How PPI works

Stay Long and Diversified
Stay Long and Diversified
The financial markets will remain in a holding pattern at elevated levels until they gain more clarity on the impact on global growth from the coronavirus delta variant and the future direction of monetary and fiscal policies.
The simple truth is that equities are the only game in town with interest rates so low and liquidity so high. Remember the axiom "Don't fight the Fed?" The Fed not only has our backs but also wants the economy to run hot. The stock market has rarely been so undervalued using Buffett's time-tested tool comparing 10-year bond yields, currently 1.31%, to the inverse of earnings yield, now 4.7%. We continue to emphasize investments in economically sensitive companies. We see above-average growth and returns for many years to come bolstered by a global recovery; the need to build additional capacity closer to home; the move to EV, going green and new technologies; and several government-sponsored infrastructure programs. In addition, we also own some of the great technology companies selling at reasonable valuations as we have indeed entered a new tech revolution in which all companies must spend to remain competitive. Earnings season has begun with a bang, with over 90% of the companies beating forecasts and raising future numbers. We are also paying close attention to balance sheets which have never been stronger. We expect to see significant increases in dividends and buybacks over the next year, which will support higher stock prices.
Getting vaccinated is the best protection against getting the coronavirus delta variant. More than 3.54 billion doses have been administered across 180 countries at a current run rate of approximately 31 million doses per day. In the U.S, 336 million doses have been given so far at a current rate of about 530,000 doses per day. Both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are effective against the variant, which is excellent news. Still, production must be ramped up even faster than current targets. The FDA must change the label from experimental to fully approved, which will alleviate some safety concerns. While the need for a booster shot has not been settled, we see billions of doses available next year to handle all needs such that we still see a global recovery beginning before next spring and lasting for several years.
Fed Chairman Powell was on the Hill last week giving his semiannual testimony to the Senate and House. He reiterated his view that the U.S economy has not improved enough to begin scaling back the central bank's monthly asset purchases while adding that inflation is likely to run high in the coming months before moderating.  He commented on production bottlenecks and other supply constraints as the principal cause of rapid price increases for some goods and services. He also downplayed any risks to the economy from higher asset prices. He continues to expect inflation to moderate over time and return to the Fed range around 2%. We agree as  most CPI increase was due to new and used autos, car rentals, hotels, and airfare. Used car prices have begun to cool. The CPI, excluding these areas, was up only around 2%.
The Fed Beige Book was released last week too and confirmed "moderate to robust growth," supply-side disruptions, increased bank lending, slight to moderate job gains, wage hikes at a moderate pace, labor shortages, and pricing pressures. We continue to expect the Fed to announce that they will begin tapering early in 2022, starting with reduced mortgage bond-buying, complete tapering by the end of 2022, and hike the federal funds rate by 0.25% in the first half of 2023. The bottom line is that the Fed will remain overly accommodative for several more years keeping real rates negative.
The Senate Democrats agreed to a $3.5 trillion top-line spending bill that includes most of Biden's social infrastructure agenda down from an initial level of $6 trillion pushed by the progressive Democrats. The agreement consists of Medicare expansion and excludes the bipartisan $579 trillion infrastructure bill. We need to see the spending and tax details before commenting but consider this bill overreaching from the progressives that will haunt them in next year's election, especially if inflation remains elevated. The market still has not embraced that a traditional infrastructure bill will be passed, which we consider a mistake. By the way, child tax credit checks have begun to go out this week. It will cost us about $100 billion and clearly will boost back-to-school sales this fall.
The domestic economy continues to roll along: industrial production increased 0.4% in June and capacity utilization rose to 75.4; jobless claims fell to a pandemic low of 360,000; import prices rose 1.0% while export prices increased 1.2%; July Empire State activity index rose to 43 while new orders hit 33.2 and shipments 43.8; inflation expectations hit a new high of 4.8%; consumer loans were substantial; the June CPI index increased 0.9% with the core up the same(read earlier comments about the CPI); the budget gap ballooned to $2.24 trillion for the first nine months down from 2020 pandemic levels; the PPI price index for final demand increased 1% in June; business inflation expectations fell 2.8% in July, and June retail sales jumped a surprisingly 0.6% with core retail sales up 1.3%. And all of this is before the child credit checks and additional fiscal stimulus.
China's second-quarter economic data was more robust than anticipated growing 7.9% from a year ago, led by strong retail sales and industrial production. The World Bank now thinks that China's economy will grow by over 8.5% In 2021. China's June imports and exports also came in well above expectations resulting in a trade surplus of $51.5 billion. And all of this has occurred before the Bank of China's easing policy last week  to  further stimulate growth.
We expect the ECB to change its policy guidance at its next meeting to accept inflation higher than its 2% goal, just like the Fed. Finally, Japan just lowered its growth forecast for the year due to high levels of coronavirus.
The U.S, Eurozone, and China will be engines of global growth in 2021, but we still expect the rest of the world to kick in next year as they get their arms around the coronavirus.
Investment Conclusions
We expect stock markets to move higher over the next year, driven by much higher earnings, dividends, and stock buybacks supported by accommodative fiscal and monetary policies. While we still favor the economically sensitive areas as we see many years of higher than historical growth rates supported by catch up capital spending, the need to shorten supply lines, and multi-year government-backed infrastructure spending bills, we have also added many technology companies as we have entered a multi-year technological revolution. Naturally, we have many special situations and own no bonds as we still expect the yield curve to steepen over time.

Ten Things You Need To Know About Homeowners Insurance Near Me Today | homeowners insurance near me
Although the name may suggest it, homeowners insurance near me covers far more than simply your wonderful new home. A homeowner's insurance policy typically pays for damage to other structures on your home, including garages, gates, sheds, fences, pools, and other structures.
There are a few different types of homeowner's insurance policies available. Each offers the same basic coverage but vary slightly from company to company.
The first type of policy is called Homeowner's Insurance Plan (HIP). This policy protects your home against any liability that could arise from negligence. One common type of claim from this type of policy is an owner's fee or mortgage payment lawsuit. This type of claim typically requires proof of actual cash value and can be awarded to the victim.
The second type of insurance policy, commonly known as Property & Casualty Insurance (PPI), is an optional add-on to a homeowner's insurance plan. PPI protects your property and/or liability for any damage done to your property. This includes fire and theft damages as well as any other damages due to natural disaster, vandalism, etc. Any damage caused by a third party is also covered under this policy. In most states, PPI is not required but is encouraged.
Finally, there is a separate type of homeowners insurance policy that covers only your home. This type of policy does not include any liability coverage for another person's property. A standalone home insurance policy is also commonly known as “condo insurance.” This type of policy covers the contents of your home in the event of a total loss.
If you own a home in the United States, consider homeowners insurance near me. It can be purchased for your home today!
Homeowners insurance has become increasingly important as the prices of homes continue to rise. Many homeowners choose to take out a homeowner's insurance policy with the same insurance company that insures their home. This is a good idea because they will be working together for many years to protect each other.
While this may seem like a good idea, many people who have multiple policies from one company do not know that it is possible to purchase a standalone home insurance policy from another company. In most cases, it is not necessary, but knowing about it can make life easier in the future.
In addition to a standalone home insurance policy, you may wish to consider a renter's insurance policy, which provides coverage for damage to the car if you or anyone else in your car is in a car accident. if you are left at fault. If you live in an apartment complex, you may wish to purchase car insurance from the landlord, as some apartment complexes require renters insurance coverage. However, this insurance will only provide coverage for damage to the car of someone else's vehicle.

Treasury Yields Decline as Investors Pine for More Policy Responses Market opened today’s session with treasuries rallying across all maturities. 10-year Treasury yield is at 0.6829, 18.66 bps decreased from prior closing of 0.8695. The rout in global equities deepened this morning, triggering another NYSE circuit breaker which halted trading for 15 minutes. President Trump blamed the EU for failing to make efficient efforts to contain the virus early enough, allowing the virus spread to the US, and suspended travel from Europe for 30 days. China, South Korea, Iran, and Europe except for the UK which left the EU on Jan 31 are subject to US constraints. Italy announced closure of all pubs, restaurants, and non-essential businesses, and Denmark also closed all schools and advised workers to stay at home to contain the virus. On a bright side, China said the outbreak in the country is “generally over” after reporting only 15 more cases. The total confirmed cases are now approaching 130,000 with the death toll at 4,718. Tepid fiscal measures from Trump administration sparked a sharp demand in haven asset again, pushing Treasuries north. However, mortgage TBAs edged lower this morning. Elsewhere, WTI crude tumbled, heading toward $30 a barrel. The headline PPI Final Demand in February declined to -0.60% from 0.50% prior vs. -0.10% consensus. However, the labor market continued to display its strength with most recent claims data. Initial Jobless Claims edged lower to 211k vs. 220k consensus, and Continuing Claims also declined to 1722k vs. 1733k consensus. The prior readings of 216k and 1729k were revised to 215k and 1733k, respectively. Lastly, Bloomberg Consumer Comfort slightly inched lower to 62.70 from 63.00 prior. PPI Claims Against Brokers Who Have Ceased Trading
"You may not recognize it, but almost every individual over the age of 18 has some kind of financial obligation nowadays. When you're younger, it may be a student loan or possibly even loan obtained from your parents that they 'd like you to repay (at some point!). As you acquire obligation and move into a flat or house, pinnacle one funding denver it'll be the bills you pay like lease, council tax or utilities. And as you start a family and have kids, it'll most likely wind up being a mortgage on a residential or commercial property, a couple of credit cards and maybe even a loan or some type of finance agreement for a car.
While it might seem obvious that all these things need to be spent for however, the fact of the matter is that often, your finances simply don't seem to be able to cover all the important things you wish to do. Maybe you prepare severely and just take place to lack money midway through the month, implying a couple of costs go unsettled; perhaps something goes incorrect at work and you do not get enough money to pay the rent for the month; or, heaven forbid, you decide you've improved things to invest your income on and end up pressing your monetary dedications to one side (believe us, we have actually seen it take place!). Whether they're accidental or deliberate however, these are all circumstances you want to prevent - if you don't, you'll not just be kick-starting a chain of occasions that'll leave you even further in financial obligation, however also wind up with a bad credit mark on your credit history.
Of course, things can often only get even worse if you let bad credit debt leave hand. A few missed out on costs cause debt to develop to a level that you can't afford in a single payment, which then causes your other debts to suffer, which then creates more bad credit on your record. This then makes getting loans to cover your financial obligations harder, which only produces more problems since you then have installing financial obligations and nowhere near sufficient cash to cover them. It looks like a limitless spiral and, to be fair, it can be if you don't act rapidly enough. Fortunately though, there are a number of ways of stopping yourself spinning out of control ...
The first is rather obvious: do not miss payments on any debts you have in the very first location! This may indicate careful management of your income if you're only simply making enough to cover the expenses, awareness of what you're using in terms of utilities to keep expenses down (for example, energy screens work for reducing electrical energy bills and switching to a pay-as-you-go mobile can avoid you adding enormous phone charges without realizing it) and even altering your tastes in groceries to something more economical (believe it or not, the 'worth' ranges that supermarkets have often tasted simply as good as name brand names and are in some cases even better for you!). Nevertheless, you handle it however, living within your methods is the very best way to avoid slipping into bad credit and having debts accumulate around you.
If, nevertheless, you're currently at the phase where financial obligation is starting to accumulate however you have not slipped into bad credit yet, now's the time to organize things. For starters, don't just rest on your hands and hope all of it goes away - phone up the people you owe cash too and speak to them about your circumstance. In practically all cases, they'll want to listen and possibly even assist by organizing a spread of payments to cover what you already owe; you will not be the very first person to have such issues with payment and you definitely won't be the last. Depending on just how much you owe, it may likewise deserve utilizing the services of a debt management business. Such firms are dedicated to helping people with debt problems, no matter how bad they might be, and can frequently assist arrange all your financial obligations into a single budget friendly monthly payment, helping alleviate the pressure that financial obligation can put on you. Obviously, you still need to maintain these monthly payments once organized, they're usually low enough to give you a little breathing space with your finances.
Finally, if things get really out of hand and you end up with bad credit on your record, then the crucial thing is to fix your credit rating as quickly as possible while likewise handling your debt. Again, this could be done through a financial obligation management http://query.nytimes.com/search/sitesearch/?action=click&contentCollection&region=TopBar&WT.nav=searchWidget&module=SearchSubmit&pgtype=Homepage#/https://www.facebook.com/pinnacleonefunding/ company or, if you wish to go it alone, controlled use of a Bad Credit Loan (which can provide you adequate cash to clear all your debts, however includes a greater rate of interest than conventional loans and still requires regular payments). If all else fails however, the only alternatives left would be either to secure an IVA - a Private Voluntary Plan, which is a legally-controlled form of financial obligation management with serious controls over it - or to state yourself bankrupt. While both have their own appeals, they also have major consequences on your credit rating considering that such decisions remain on your record for a minimum of 6 years, making it difficult for you to obtain credit in other places regardless of basically being debt-free. As such, these approaches should be considered as a 'desperate' alternative and only be carried out in severe situations.
In Summary
Bad credit financial obligation ...
Isn't the relentless cycle that it appears to be!

The PPI Deadline: What You Need to Know
Tumblr media
As of today, we all have less than one month to claim any mis-sold payment protection insurance (PPI). Statistics show that around 64 million PPI policies have been sold in the UK – most of them between 1990 and 2010, with some policies dating as back as the 1970s. The History of PPI As some of you may probably know, the payment protection insurance was established in order to cover repayments that people couldn’t pay themselves due to certain circumstances. For example, PPI would cover any repayments of a person that could not work due to an illness, accident, or death or was made redundant. More than 35 billion pounds have been repaid to customers since 2011, with banks setting aside billions and billions for this type of compensation and refunds. Naturally, a deadline was probably bound to happen sooner or later – you can do so and reclaim any mis-sold PPI until the 29th of August 2019. In today’s article, we will be talking about everything that you need to know about the PPI deadline. This way, you won’t miss a single thing and you’ll be able to properly claim back your money. Are You Entitled to PPI Compensation? You may have been mis-sold payment protection insurance if you have purchased a loan, mortgage, or any kind of credit product – such as a credit card – up until 2006. Keep in mind that mis-selling could have taken place after this year as well. Given that there is no limit on how far back people can claim payment protection insurance and that most of us don’t actually know if we’ve been mis-sold PPI, we should all consider making a claim. Even if there’s a small chance that you are owed compensation, then make sure that you do not miss the deadline. What Happens to the Unclaimed PPI funds? As mentioned before, the money available for compensation and refunds has been set aside by the banks of the UK. Obviously, any unclaimed funds will be reinvested in these banks. In short, every bank that is offering refunds keeps the money that the people don’t claim. Basically, we could say that these funds are up for grabs for anyone that has been mis-sold a PPI. What You May Not Know If you haven’t filed a claim yet, then you may think that this whole PPI thing does not apply to you or that the process for being awarded a refund is too complicated. You may also avoid claiming a refund because you had PPI on an appropriate product and nothing went wrong with it – you were happy with your deal, so to say. However, there were some cases in which people were sold a certain product as part of a credit deal. This should make the sales process questionable and, ultimately, persuade you into applying for a PPI refund. There are more than enough stories of people that have checked PPI without expecting anything, only to find out that they were owed thousands due to a mis-sold. For example, one person who used a lot of different loans in the past didn’t think that they were eligible for a refund. Later investigations discovered that the person was owed almost 19 thousand pounds. When Will the Claims be Resolved? Keep in mind that the deadline date is the 29th of August. All you need to do in order to take advantage of the PPI repayment is to submit your claim before this date. If you submit your claim close to this date, it is unlikely that you will receive an answer before the 29th. However, this doesn’t mean that your claim will get cancelled or denied. As long as you submit it before the 29th and the bank receives your claim, they will investigate it and return to you with the result. The bank usually takes around eight weeks to resolve a claim – still, it is known that this process can be longer in some instances. You should be patient. How Do You Submit a Claim? There are companies that will offer you their services and make a claim on your behalf. However, keep in mind that the claims management firms will take a rather large part of your compensation for filing a claim for you – up to 24%. For example, if you think you may be entitled to PPI compensation on a buy to let mortgage, you may want to keep it all for yourself. Naturally, the easiest way to submit a claim is by making one directly to your provider. There are also many online tools that can help you start your claim, fill out the form, and then forward it to your provider, be it Property Finance or anyone else. Buy to Let Mortgage PPI Since we have mentioned a scenario including a buy to let mortgage, it is worth mentioning a couple of things about this specific case. While you can file a PPI claim for this, keep in mind that most companies will reject it – therefore, PPI is worth having. Moreover, as most mortgage brokers were not regulated before January 2005, the window for complaints is little to none. In short, the sale of PPI starting with January 2005 has been regulated while buy-to-let lending is unregulated – the result is mortgage PPI that does not get much coverage. What Happens If You Miss the Deadline? If you miss the deadline of August 29, you can still make a claim – but only if you have experienced exceptional circumstances. If you have to rely on such a claim, keep in mind that you must include as much information as you can when you apply – as these claims will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. We strongly recommend you apply for PPI compensation before the deadline if you want to make sure that your claim gets considered. Concluding Remarks If you’ve stressed over PPI in recent years, then now is the time to make the most of it, so to say, and take advantage of it as well. As you won’t have to think about payment protection insurance ever again, this is the perfect time and opportunity for you to file a claim and possibly get compensated. Basically, if you think you’ve been mis-sold PPI, then don’t waste any time and apply for a refund today – it’s free, it’s easy, and you get the chance to solve this matter once and for all!
