#fairfax #artwork #if you saw me reblog this the other day you were witness to the exact moment i knew i had to draw this #mostly just because the bloke is wearing a cuirass in the original painting but also because i am gay. we know this #this is very messy i was going to paint over it properly but i actually quite like the effect when it is very sloppy like this so here it is #dont look too closely or you will see just how messy it is. i didnt stay within the lines at all my bad #i am quite happy with it though! partly because i think i captured the way he looks (in my head) and partly because i drew a background for #once. i never ever draw backgrounds and i wasnt even intending to for this one but i started it and then kept going for no reason #obviously not an impressive background by any means. but a background nonetheless :-) #anyway i hope you are all well my friends! i am home for christmas so i am hoping to get lots of drawing done if i get my act together #i love you all very much. look at the puritan. look at him. you want to look at him
