see the thing is i dont think i have a special eye for stuff, i think a lot of what I see written into the show is… very much there. but i’ve just watched the show A LOT over n over again to see it. which is smth glenn has talked abt .. how sunny has a lot of rewatch value, and it rlly is true! and tbh that is probably a very promising thing for them now lol. like if they can build interest n drop those hints then ppl could very easily see it. that’s probably a good way to make money on the show retroactively, if it has rewatch value n u have a very loyal audience ppl will probably stream the show a lot over n over if they now KNOW there are these plotlines you’d been building for all these seasons. and esp if theyre getting closer to the ‘end’ you’d wanna rlly start leaning into that.. which already feels like what they’re doing w the podcast n the whiskey that ppl drink while watching the show etcetc ‘subconscious cues’ n all that shittt

#n no i am not Just talking abt the macdennis arc here #thats part of it— but its w ALL of them. the waitress n the side characters.. litrlly all of em #honestly even w macden if they just went crazy n overt w it in s16 as the last season i wouldnt be mad cuz they built up a good storyline #between em the whole goddamn timeeee #u just gotta like. kno what ur looking for n then its super clear as day their whole storyline. even subtextually it becomes VERY clear #idk sorry i. genuinely think its cool 😭😭 #i like it for what it is ok #it was a show started in 2005 not 2019 so i like how much they managed to fit in considering that LOL #going back n rewatching like earlier seasons of spn s1-5 made me appreciate how fucking. undeniably gay sunny has always been #is comforting. #n just the overall themes of denial n repression n building up facades for praise w a hollow life vs fulfilling shit #but also the ways ppl are not what they seem to be if u dig deeper its fucking GOOD n they are Good at writing That #ESP WITH CHARLIE MAN I NEED TO POST MY SHIT ABT CHARLIE THERES SO MUCH #IVE PICKED UP ON OVER MY REWATCHES N ITS JUDT. MAN ITS SO MUCH #n the way waitress n lawyer get so wrapped up in all of it.. so realistic n so fucking good
