“Why are you in the Boys’ team and not the Girls team?”

“I wasn’t put into the Girls team but Chan asked me to be part of his team instead so here I am!” *whispering* “Honestly, I was surprised too!”

entire episode is literally a game of ‘finding lou’

like where tf is she

barely on the screen for like thirty seconds in total and almost twenty of those are during group shots of the performance

it really felt like she didn’t even exist

she has literally never been in an arcade before

absolutely clueless about what to do

but they’re playing football first so yeah

she does better than she thought she would

just doesn’t shoot the ball where it’s supposed to land

can’t stop laughing watching the oldest members doing that make-the-shape-with-your-body game thingy

FIRST MISSION – OWN SONG + STAGE

literally likes all the samples Chan plays for them but the first and last one were the best

absolutely amazed by 3racha’s minds lol

struggled with the choreo a little since she isn’t that good of a dancer compared to the others

stays even after the group practice together with Jeongin and Minho because honestly, she probably wouldn’t get it done without the boy’s help

at least she doesn’t have any problems with her lines and vocals so she can fully focus on the performance

it’s so nerve-wrecking standing in front of JYP holy shit

and then he criticizes the female key of the song (he even asked if it was because of her like ???)

ngl her heart sank into her stomach

especially because according to him she was still very much lacking especially performance wise but even her vocals were criticised as well

“There was an obvious reason for you not to be in the female debut team.”

and she also wasn’t feeling 100% that day so she looked a little gloomy

“I’ll just pay for the food, since I can’t bowl anyways!”

she still had to play lol

made Chan throw some of her tries to get at least a few points

he threw a strike for her.

lou decide to stay rather quite because she felt she didn’t have the right to say something about the performance of people who had trained way longer than her

she just hoped that the other members would be honest so that they could deliver perfect stages at the end

absolutely nervous to perform in front of JYP again

“It didn’t feel like much of a compliment…”

and apparently “surprisingly well” doesn’t mean the same as “your performance was good” because she was up for elimination again

didn’t want to believe that Minho was actually eliminated

almost cried ngl but she held back her tears because she didn’t want JYP to see her cry for some reason

but once he was gone and the others also cried, she just couldn’t hold it back anymore

Lou sighed as she stretched her arms once more before getting in position for her monthly evaluation. She didn’t have to think much about her moves anymore – after practicing the dance for an entire month her body just did what it remembered. Move after move, Lou danced through the song and when it finally came to an end, she bowed down slightly.

The teachers in front of her stayed silent, she only saw some nod their heads slowly, some of them took notes and some of them just looked at her in silence. “Did you practice this the entire month?” Lou nodded, still trying to catch her breath. “Then why is your dancing still so lacking?” The little smile she had worn on her face was wiped off in an instant as the words reached her ear. Biting her lower lip, she looked to the ground. “With a full month of practice, I’d expect a lot more for some who’s standing here to debut one day.” The other teachers nodded along, one of the vocal teachers spoke up next. “If your dancing was just half as good as your vocals are…” He didn’t finish his sentence and sighed instead. “After half a year here, you should at least have the basics down but even those are lacking.” All Lou could really do was nod as they found more things to criticize her for until they told her to go back to the side where she spent the rest of the evaluation.

She didn’t even bother checking whether or not she had made it into the female debut team. With comments like this, they surely wouldn’t even have thought about her and personally, after watching the other girls perform she couldn’t even imagine being with them as they were so much better than her. They deserved to get the opportunity to present themselves as possible debut candidates for that show JYP had announced to them a few weeks ago at least.

When the teachers finally left the room, Lou huffed ad looked around the many bitter faces in the room, all from other girls who hadn’t made it in just like her. There were even two girls crying.

She felt someone tap her shoulder and as she looked up, Yeji looked at her unsurely. “I’m sure you’ll be added anyways! You know how it is. They tell people they’re not in the team and two weeks later they’re still in!” A small grin formed on Lou’s face as she shook her head. “I really don’t believe that’s how it’s going to be but thank you for trying to cheer me up! Congrats on securing your place in the female team though!” She patted her shoulder twice. “I’ll just have to wait a little more! I didn’t perform at my best today and that’s what I get for that!” Lou shrugged her shoulders. “I should go practice for a little more before going back home!”

With that she waved her friend goodbye and turned around to leave. Passing a few of the other girls, she heard many of them talk about their feedback and sighed. She had been given the same criticism for the past two evaluations now. It was always her dancing that lacked in so many ways that she couldn’t even make up for it with her vocal performance, which, saying so herself, wasn’t too bad. She was sure if she were to get the same comment once again the next month, she could wave her dream of becoming an artist goodbye.

Sighing once again, she opened the door to the practice room the female trainees were allowed to use during their free time and went over to where she had placed her water bottle before the evaluation. She took a few sips to calm her thirst and then immediately went and put on some music. For a while, she danced around aimlessly, not thinking about any choreo and just moving to the music. She sang along to the songs quietly until she heard the door open with a slight squeak. She immediately stopped her movements and turned around, expecting another female trainee to come in for another few hours of practice just like her but instead, she saw Chan standing in the doorframe, looking at her.

“Yeji told me I’d find you here…”, he started and closed the door behind him as Lou turned down the music’s volume to make it easier to understand him and nodded. “I’m assuming you didn’t make it then, right?” Lou nodded again, a pressed smile on her face. “It’s my dancing again. Every single month it’s my dancing actually.”

“Anyways...”, she shrugged her shoulders, “What are you doing here? You know the male trainees aren’t supposed to meet with the female trainees. Also, don’t you have practice as well?” Chan nodded with pursed lips. “Yes and yes! 100 points for the candidate!“ Lou looked at him with raised eyebrows, trying to suppress a giggle. “Nothing against you by the way, but it’s actually perfect that you didn’t get into the female team again!” He nodded to himself, chuckling at Lou’s clueless expression. “You see, I thought about this… brilliant idea a few days ago!” Lou nodded slowly. “Oh wow. That’s new, you thought about something.”, she feigned surprise, making him grin. “Ha ha. Thank you very much. No but actually… I was thinking. And what if, instead of the female team, you join us instead?”

The two found themselves surrounded with silence for a while – Lou’s eyes as wide as humanly possible. “Your team?” She finally cleared her throat and reacted to his proposal. He nodded at her questioning glance. “Yeah. Our team.” She scoffed slightly. “That’s about the most unlikeliest thing JYP would allow Chan. Also, how would I even fit into your group? Clearly, I am not yet ready to debut.” – “Well, good thing I am the one in charge of choosing the most promising trainees for our group! And I, Christopher Bang, really do believe you would enrich our group with your talent. I don’t know why you shouldn’t join. You’re very talented.”

For a few seconds, the two just stared at each other, neither saying a word. He must’ve gone crazy, Lou thought. How can he believe JYP would allow such a thing when it was about her – that one trainee that apparently still didn’t have the dance basics down.

“I already told him that there’s one more person I thought would be fitting for the group, I’ll just have to tell him it would be you. I’m sure I can convince him! I’m really good at talking things into JYP he hadn’t considered before. Why do you think did he allow me to make my own group?” The laugh Lou let out brought a small smile onto his face as well. “So?”, he looked at her expectantly. “What do you say?”

“There’s not much to lose for me, is there?” She sighed. “Listen. Firstly, you will have to ask the boys because I would not, in any way, shape or form become a member of the group if not all of them are okay with it. Secondly... If you manage to convince JYP, I might just consider it.”

“Luckily, the boys already agreed to this, so basically I’ll take this as a yes.” A smug grin on his face, Chan did a little shimmy, which only led to Lou hitting him once. “Yah! I never said I will definitely join then.” Chan continued his little dance with pursed lips. “But you’ll consider it!” He giggled. “Don’t take too much time or else, I might just take it back!” Jokingly, Lou lunged forward at him with her hand raised as if to smack his head, making him stumble back a little, laughing, before nodding and making his way towards the door. “I’ll get going now. I’ll tell you about the JYP matter when I have an answer!“

minho is just always there for lou and god save everyone who dares to do anything to her, he will not hesitate to throw hands

but also, if she needs a shoulder to cry on he’ll be there in an instant to comfort her

in an episode of two kids’ room, lou said that they used to be like business partners, only talking when they’d really have to.

she then proceeded to say that they’ve already evolved to become “friends from work” and that she will work hard to become even closer.

the more time they got to spend as team members, the closer they got.

HYUNJIN loujin

she swears she would be lost without him when it comes to the choreo.

they’ve spent countless of sleepless nights in the practice room before comebacks so that lou would get the choreo right and she’s extremely grateful for that.

she often apologises for not being as good as the others when it comes to dancing but he’s always quick to shut her up and say that she’s amazing nonetheless.

HAN lousung

her ride or die buddy in all honesty.

his positive way of just being always brightens her days and she gains a lot of energy from him.

like a sixth sense, she somehow immediately knows when he’s not feeling well and he knows when she is sad.

FELIX felou

chaotic energy at its finest

but they’re also cuddle buddies and are basically clinging onto each other 24/7

lou has such a soft spot for him, stays love to tease her for it but she doesn’t even care

SEUNGMIN loumin

her sON. if you even dare to hurt her baby you better prepare to run

even though he looks like he hates it when she babies him, he secretly loves it. especially when she hugs him or brushes through his hair

also when he calls her noona? she may or may not get all soft

for some reason, lou doesn’t baby him as much as she babies seungmin but he’s still her son so don’t you dare mess with him

the most she does is give him the proudest mum look you’ll ever see. it’s devastatingly cute and there are so many fansite photos of it, fans are thriving!!
