I don't think I'll ever get people who scorn subcultures popular with teens, like emo, goth, scene, punk & whatever else. emo seems to get Extra distain.

Like, come on dude. All this vitriol toward something that makes people happy, and what for? Something that makes young people exploring who they are feel confident & secure & validated? Something at might have made You happy once? And what fucking for? Because you have put the weight of your hatred of your past self or some specific shitheads you knew as a kid on everyone else's shoulders? On Teenagers' shoulders?? fuck you.

WILL FEEL FUCKING MISUNDERSTOOD #BECAUSE THEY /ARE/ MISUNDERSTOOD. #being young is HARD no matter what fucking adults tell you. middle school is Hard.
