they really doubled the amount of Star Trek series in the last few years huh

#like. from 6 (ending with ent and including tas) to 12....... yikes #I admire and accept that ppl are so passionate abt making it but I can't help but feel they're 'flooding the market' as it were as a #cash grab bc paramount plus wants our money #used to be we got one or two super well-made series at a time. and now boom there's a million of everything and it feels. not like star trek #not like I think that Star Trek was super high quality (a lot of the time it was garbage overlaid with cool ethical conundrums) #now it just feels more like 'pew pew here's a lens flare and cool makeup and maybe a direct address of todays issues but we WILL NOT get #into huge ethical debates :) pew pew wow look it's the mirrorverse :)' ykwim?? #I don't think I'm explaining this well #idk I'll probably delete this later
