It was that time again, the one day a week that Melinoe absolutely dreaded. Well, one day a week if she was lucky and didn't get covered in blood, sinew, and muck from the top of her head down. Yes, it was hair washing day.
She grimaced to herself as she stared down her reflection in the mirror, a rather pretty ornate one that was large enough she could see her entire body in it and that she'd convinced Astarion to part with. He probably just took pity on the fact that her tent was still rather plain and uninteresting. He definitely took pity on her for that, if she was honest, because she'd laid thick on that point as her way to convince him.
Her two braids looked an absolute mess, stray hairs sticking out every which way and a few pebbles lodged into twists. It wasn't cute. Not even a little bit. She always complain every wash day, and yet she had no intentions to ever cut it shorter. Wyll, bless his heart, had made that very suggestion once in such a kind way. Lae'zel suggested it the second time she had to wash, though the githyanki wasn't so... warm about the suggestion.
Luckily, the entire camp was on one of their travelling days on the road. There wasn't any real civilization in sight, so far as she knew, so they got a few blissful days without any having to save the day. Of course, she could always just decline going out and about with Rein when he asked if she wanted to tag along, but she rather enjoyed the excitement they always fell into.
Washing her exceedingly long hair was an all day thing, and usually she just went down to the closest river alone and sang to herself to pass the time. But today, she actually wanted some companionship. With a few sponges, soap, and oils tucked into her designated wash day bucket, she did a little stroll around camp to decide who might be so lucky as to get asked to spend this time with her.
The camp was surprisingly quiet, likely just because everyone was enjoying the brief moment they could just lounge. She could have asked Rein to tag along, but she figured he could use the rest more than anyone. The tiefling hummed to herself, a hand on her hip as she debated before Aljari's familiar figure caught her attention.
She certainly enjoyed his company, not to mention he was rather pleasant on the eyes and she had no complaints about the idea of getting to stare at his pretty self all day.
Filled with purpose, Melinoe sauntered her way forward, slowing down when she neared him and bending forward at the waist to playfully greet him in a sing-song tune. ❝ Good morning, my sweet scholar. Would you care to do me the absolute honor of keeping me company while I go down to the river for the day? ❞
—— ❝ Unless you're too busy. Then I suppose I'll just have to go lonely all day by myself. ❞ she allowed her voice to take on a little whine with her addition, not serious of course, but still playful.

Melinoe would be remiss if she didn't admit that she enjoyed travelling and camping. She liked being able to explore new places and see new things. One of her most favorite spots was near the water, as it was. Specifically for the sun rises and the sun sets.
She had sat there for at least a few hours, simply staring off, until the blue sky began to fade into a dark purple. The tiefling hummed to herself, finally stirring from her spot to take to strolling from the riverside and just admire the way the woodlands adjusted from celestial day into an enchanting night. She was probably missed from the dinner circle as her companions gathered together around the fire, but she wanted to linger a bit longer. Surely Gale wouldn't be too upset if she missed some of his meal.
It was to her surprise when she finally did wander her way back towards camp that she wasn't the only one who had yet to return back from the privacy of the woods.
❝ Well, well, what have we here? ❞ she purred teasingly, approaching the barbarian from his side, carefully not to completely sneak up on him and have his guard put up.
—— ❝ Our esteemed leader gone for a breath alone? Are you getting sick of us already? ❞

those stories you heard? all true.
@lordgortrash
Amusement painted her face in the way her brow arched and her lips tugged into a soft grin. She leaned back, elbows propping her up as she laid out on the desk, lounging like a cat in the savannah. ❝ My, my... and here I thought Lady Jannath must have had a bard's tongue with the debaucheries of her retelling. ❞ Her shameles gaze travelled up and down the lord then, slow and indulgent as her teeth snagged her bottom lip coquettishly.
—— ❝ Color me impressed. And intrigued, ❞ her head tilted, that soft grin ever present as she fluttered her lashes but made no move from the comfort of her lounging aside from a teasing brush of her foot against Gortash's leg. ❝ Perhaps you should recount your side of the story for me? ❞

❝ there’s something odd about this village. people skulk around like they’ve something to hide. ❞
@refabled
Lina had felt the odd energy of the place, too, when they first arrived. A passing merchant had such high praises of this village, claiming it was full of merry and friendly people. Yet, when Lina and her fellow companions stepped into its gate, why did people seem so anxious to scurry away?
Even the blacksmith seemed all too eager to see them off when they approached for wares.
—— ❝ This place is full of secrets, ❞ the tiefling agreed, leaning closer to Fable and making her voice a low whisper for only the fellow druid to hear, ❝ And can you feel what I do? It feels as if there's something slowly and steadily siphoning magic. At first I thought it was just my fatigue, but no. No, there's something here sucking up magic. ❞ A pause as she noticed what looked like a cleric pointing and whispering about them in a dark alleyway, and then she turned around to hide her face when she whispered again, ❝ Let's start with the church? ❞

While Melinoe certainly loved her boys to the ends of the realms and back, the way in which she loved Annie was entirely different. Annie was her best friend, her sister even. And today she desperately sought having some more womanly company to tap into her own feminine energy.
With a towel in hand, she sashayed through the camp with purpose and began her small escapade out to a little waterfall pond they had all passed before they made camp. Annie was to meet her there and it was made very clear to the rest of their companions that the waterfall was to be Girls Only for the day. Just for them to lounge around naked to sun tan and bathe like free little nereids of their dreams.
She was rather pleased that the boys all seemed to remember, as there wasn't a soul in sight when she arrived to set down her towel and small pack of spare clothing. Immediately, she shed her dress and eagerly strolled her way into the crystal water, pausing to allow the rays of the sun to kiss her ashen colored skin.

…Smash or Pass?
@falsesighted
Melinoe stood with her hands on her hips, sparing her fellow adventurer a slow, considerate drag of her gaze from his head to his toes and then back again. She lingered on a few key features: the curve of his lips, his collarbones, his shoulders, his thighs, his hands, then back up to his eyes.
She did so with the utmost respect, of course. Well, as much respect as you could give someone when you were very blatantly checking them out.
❝ If you should ever find a fleeting desire to come to bed with me, the thought wouldn't even cross my mind to deny the indulgence. ❞ there was a playful grin tacked onto her speech, a purr resounded with a few choice words spoken.
—— ❝ We could just consider it a friendly way of addressing our stresses together. ❞
She wasn't one to pass down casual sex, especially with someone she did actually perceive as attractive. Of course, she knew the question was just part of a fun game, but hypothetically speaking, who better to blow off steam with than a fellow traveler and potential ally? It seemed a win-win in her book. Of course, that thought process extended to more than just the treat of a man before her.
