(Dancing in Dominula Village)
((Finally bringing the Elden Ring world to life with a story of Venus, Link, and Jonas, three nomadic brothers finding an all too familiar village))
The three brothers had been wandering since the Lift, the second oldest hellbent on finding the man call Goldmask. The youngest could not care less, haven taken the darker path of Blood and Blasphemy. And the Eldest was trying his hardest to keep the three together, being apart was what had changed their little brother for the worst.
“Hold.” Jonas grabbed Venus by the back of their armor and yanked him back, making the three bend down. “Up ahead…”
The three stared ahead at the rather… strange sighting ahead of them. Women dancing in festive garb, laughing and spinning to their hearts content. Unbothered of the despair and chaos around them. The area was decorated with beautiful pink flowers that Venus struggled to identify off the top of their head, but he didn’t trust them one bit.
“Are they… do you think they’re dangerous?” Venus whispered, looking at his two oldest brothers.
“Probably, everything around here is. We’re getting closer to the Capital.” Link, the wisest of the three, whispered back, keeping a grip on Venus’s arm.
The three inched closer, the laughing getting louder as they moved up the hill, readying for battle. But the women paid them no mind, dancing and laughing in the flower. In the middle of the circle was a bonfire, cooking a poor nobleman that probably hadn’t seen that coming-
“VENUS MOVE!” Jonas grabbed the warrior and threw him back as an explosion of fire nearly took him out right there. “Did you not here me?!” Jonas pulled him up and dusted them off despite his rather hostile out burst of anger.
“I… I know this place.” Venus whispered, watching the women sing and dance. “Mother used to be one of these women.”
Link had destroyed any of the remaining explosive threats, and tossed Venus the nobleman’s clothes, stating it seeming to be his style. He hadn’t heard what Venus said.
“They are celebrating. This is a summer festival… the garb they wear are festival attire. But something’s terribly wrong. The flowers are poisonous, but not deadly. They can cause hallucinations, but I can’t remember the name. I’ll have to look when we get back to the Hold.
As for the windmills, they’re could have also been something in the grain they ate to cause them to act like this. Perhaps a plague of some sort? I’m unsure of that… but mother was here. I can sense it.”
Link was clearly beginning to get antsy just standing in a circle of dancing ladies on the brink of insanity. His hand rested on his blade. Jonas, however, was puzzled.
“Mother? What in the name of the stars are you talking about? We have no mother.”
“Someone had to birth us, yes? I can feel it, in my heart, that she was here… a dancing maiden-“
“This is wonderful and all but I’d rather not just stand here and discuss this. I’m uncomfortable and would rather discuss this when we have more answers.” Which was just Link’s way of saying he was done and wanted to leave.
The three had traveled a bit further, finding more in the village but had been quickly overwhelmed despite the three of them. They headed back to the Roundtable Hold to regroup and for Venus to study before it drove him to madness trying to think.
“A cult of dancing women huh? Why does that make so much sense for you?” Venus looked up from his book, a rather exhausted looking Vax walking in with a plate of fire warmed bread with cheese over the top.
“Whatever do you mean, my light?” Venus pouted, putting their book down and happily taking the plate. He took a big bit as Vax sat in the chair next to them, looking into the fire.
“Are you alright, love?” Venus put the plate down on the table and watched his lover’s face.
“I’ve worried Kerry I think, I got a bit to excited to eat a dragon heart.”
“I don’t believe you’re supposed to do that.”
Vax nodded, a small chuckle leaving his lips.
“We found a church instead, somewhere I can give the hearts too instead. Easier and less fatty.” Venus made a face and shook his head. “Anyway, tell me more of this summer festival.”
“I believe it’s either a non-deadly plague, or perhaps a hallucinogenic flower that’s caused the mass destruction. I’ve read more on the village from Gideon’s library and saw they are… violent. A ritual was basically happening- did Link tell you I nearly got blown up?”
Vax nodded, getting up to move. Venus frowned, thinking he was leaving before he was picked up as well, then set back into Vax’s lap as the man sat down. Venus smiled at him, beginning to play with his hair as he talked.
“Anyway, they also had windmills, which lead me to believe there could have also been something in the grain to cause them to act this way. I still can’t find the flower though… but that’s what I’m looking for now.”
Vax listened to every word, rubbing Venus’s side as he talked. The two were still stuck on how Venus could possibly know their mother was there once… but it just made sense.

Random V Headcanon moment:
Venus really likes to cook and bake, and obviously in 2077, real deal shit is hard to come by. But also he’s dating the two richest guys in Night City, so they pull through for him. And one day, Vax came home and was immediately brought into the kitchen with Venus demanding he open his mouth.
“Open your mouth.”
“At least take me to dinner first-“
“I’m serious, V! Open!”
“What is it?”
“Cheesecake!”
“You just… made a cheesecake?”
“Yes.”
“…wtf is a cheesecake?”
“OPEN. YOUR. FUCKING. MOUTH.”
