Are you ready to start traveling again? Visit Puglia and be amazed by its beauty, colors, waters, food, and people.

The project: Discover Salento has the goal to share the beauty of Puglia with the rest of the world, specifically with the United States. We hope to help Puglia safely reopen its doors to tourists coming from all over the world and to invite people who may not know about Puglia to come visit. It is our contribution to jump start the economy and to bring back the lively, fun, and relaxing atmosphere of our beautiful region.

Who we are: Pugliesi in California is a vibrant, inclusive, and beautiful community of people from Puglia who now live in California. Started in 2015 by Alessandra Chimienti, the community now counts over 200 members. Paolo Damiano Dolce - Visual Storyteller is the filmmaker who helped us build this dream together.

The current situation: 2020 was unexpected, it came in like a wrecking ball and changed everyone’s plans. The world went through some really hard times and now is finally time to pick up where we left off and start moving again. Even though things are getting better, we must remember that the pandemic is not over yet. It is imperative that we all respect the rules and regulations put in place to ensure our own and everyone else’s safety: keep social distance, wear a mask, wash your hands, be respectful. Let’s do this together!
