@ygoc-week Day 3: Decks

I wanted to sketch something for each of my ocs with their aces but unfortunately i passed out last night so i'm just going to chuck the actual card beside a picture of them, lol

Image heavy post below!

Starting off with the Synchro Dimension, Hamelin uses a Yang Zing deck, and has two "secret roommates" (read: pet rats) that she named after Ba Xia and Jiaotu, her two main Extra Deck Aces.

She switches gears to Magikeys when in her Phantom Thief persona, who has a deep grudge against...

Jackie, who uses Swordsouls, an archetype that carries much meaning to her. Her belt is based on QXYL's sword(?)tail(?) and her unwavering devotion to an estranged childhood friend makes her a worthy wielder of the sword the card is based on, which represents integrity.

Jackie works for Fleur, who uses Aromages. As someone who is very at home behind a chessboard, she doesn't like dueling that much as it has too many uncontrollable factors, such as luck.

Moving to the Standard Dimension, first up is Cider and her Myutants! What? Her duel disk? Oh, that's because she's originally from [REDACTED]

Weird, how did we end up in the Xyz Dimension? Anyway, Alcidis uses Witchcrafters, and before you ask me how he Xyz summons with this deck, my answer is that he splashes in Dogmatika cards from his bestie:

Arte, who uses Dogmatika! When she duels, it's like a switch flips, and she looks a lot like her brother... It scares her teacher, because it reminds him of a very unpleasant memory...

Viol used Mermails during the war, but after the events of the show he upgrades his ace from Abyss Dweller to a... custom monster... that I haven't designed yet lmao sigh one day i will

Back in Academia, Faye and Fence shared a Dream Mirror deck, each memorising one side of the deck as they struggled too much to memorise and use a single deck by themselves. After they moved to Standard, Fence picked up Normal Pendulums and Faye uses a custom Xyz archetype that lets her transform like her favourite masked riders!

Last but not least, Fuschia with his Despians! He picked it because he loves red and purple, but more importantly, he found the love of his life... Aluber the Dogmatic. Yeah, he's one of those weirdos with a duel monster crush (same tbh)

He'd never admit he had a crush on Aluber during the events of ARC-V, but post-canon he unabashedly has a giant poster of him (pictured above) in his room.

[1] Despia is a portmanteau of 'death' and 'thespian'. [2] His ace's fusion materials requires one Despian monster and a LIGHT or DARK monster. [3] Despian Quaeritis is named after quem quaeritis i.e. Whom do you seek? It's a question Fuschia often asks his quarry during the war. (And then he cards them all together after helping them reunite)

Why Wales is not allowed toys anymore. ft London

It’s late, and the brothers are trying to sleep, but unfortunately there is a disturbance. -England clenches his teeth at the constant noise. -North rolls his eyes and sits up in his bed, wondering if he should go up and do something about it. -Scotland lays there fuming like a pot about to boil over -London pulls his pillow up to cover his ears, hoping to block the noise, but to no avail. And Wales, well he stands atop the roof of their house, a small toy dragon in his right hand, screaming like a dying animal as the it passes by his face. England: “Oh my god, WALES!! SHUT THE HELL UP!!” Wales: *clearly paying no attention to his brother, he passes the toy once more and screams* London: “SHUT UP OR I’LL COME UP THERE AND KICK YOUR BLOODY ASS!!” *London receives the same response*

Eventually Scotland has enough of Wales’s nonsense. He throws off his covers and stomps out of his room to find a way to clime up on to the roof. He succeeds in getting up there and walks right up to his little brother, his face red with anger. Scotland: “WALES! SHUT THE FUCK UP!!! IF YA DON’T, I WILL MAKE IT SO YOU CAN’T FUCKING TALK AGAIN!! Wales: *takes a small step back, and pasues. looking at Scotland, seemingly examining just how angry he has made the man. He blinks, and takes another big step back, he raises the toy once more, watching as Scotland’s eye twitches with irritation.* Scotland: “don’t you fucking da-” Wales:*extends his arm and passes the toy in front of his older brothers face, screaming once more.* Scotland:* Screams back with anger and tries to grab it.” For the next 30 minutes, England, Northern Ireland, and London, are all left with having to listen to heavy footsteps on the roof, screaming, and loud death threats. London: “Wow. I absolutely love this family. How could I go a night without them? I just love getting the biggest headache at 3:30 AM because I have idiots for brothers. I SURELY HAVE BEEN BLESSED HAVEN’T I!!!” North:...No. London: -_____- # (Thanks for 10 followers~! London Does not belong to me, he is my freinds Hetalia Oc. Leader of SVRN, during Adam Taurus's massacre in Beacon, Sol was fatally wounded with his guts hanging out, luckily Virens was there to fend off the Masked Tyrant and rescue her leader, Sol was healed and patched up but left comatose for 3 months, finally waking up, he finds out that Captain Prince has been fired and his annoying brother Ataur took over G.R.I.M.Ms, Maxy is wanted for their operator Cindy's murder and paranoia of the Black Claw who hasn't been proven to exist yet Solstice is an extremely intelligent individual who can make machines and weapons at a young age, but he is also a great detective as he can memorise almost every moment in his life and figure out crime scenes and puzzles, he figured out Maxy and Ricky were Secret Agents during their time in Beacon, because of each of the members of Team SVRN having their own talents, Captain Pasu Prince hires them and have them work alongside Maxy and Ricky find the Faunas Hunter Because of the Beacon Incident and Maxy, Virens and Ricky going rogue, he had to do a lot of paperwork and had some catching up to do for 3 months, suddenly he receives a call from Maxy to help him kill a Black Claw General pretending to be a teacher in Sades Academy in Vacuo, Sol goes there (with no other choice after Rei robbed the New Captain) and demanded Maxy tell him everything before they were attacked by the Black Claw Undead Assassins the Titans along with Ryzen's apprentice and lover Schnitter After that Sol had to disguise himself as a temporary teach with a fake I.D and glasses being called Professor Jeenair Rick (who Ricky suggested to tease Sol) and taught the students of Shades while trying to get close to Professor Kit who was really Katze a Black Claw General, he fought her finding her out and kills her, he left Shades Academy after that and went back to the others finding out a cure after Maxy was infected by Schnitter's Grimm Converting Drug SVRN helping Maxy and Ricky battle against the Black Claw continue their journey on their own reuniting with Kalista and Zalick, they discover more secrets and more in their abilities to fight against their enemies Solstice Letter Dear Mum and Dad I still don't know where you guys have gone, you told me Dad that I would regret my life that I have chosen, that not being in Mantle would make me someone you would hate, I know deep down you guys went off because there was a secret I was nearly uncovering, that I would do something bad if I knew what it was... ⬅[Prev] Day 1: Introductions

There's a bit of Day 1 mixed in here because I'm dropping a bunch of context i.e. background for them, yay!!

Everything started because I thought to myself, "haha wouldn't it be funny to have a pair of ARC-V OCs that are Fusion/Xyz Enemies to Lovers where the Fusion guy got (rightfully) beat up so badly he's traumatised and post-canon he ends up working at the same place as the guy that whooped him so badly he stopped being a war criminal and so he spends the next few months hiding behind pillars in the LDS lift lobby to avoid bumping into him?"

Having never known their parents, Fuschia is both older brother and de facto guardian for his two siblings, roles that he carry out with pride and joy. Part of why he worked so hard at carding people during the war was due to a monetary bounty the Professor had offered, hoping to use it for the benefit of his siblings. (He also loves money)

He always makes sure to return to the Fusion Dimension by nightfall, so he can prepare dinner and help the twins with their homework. Basically he's the ultimate malewife <3

"Look at the face on this one!"

Fuschia's big brother levels are too high, so he extends his aura to anyone he meets, including an Obelisk Force member dressed in all-white that insists on working alone that he keeps coming across while wandering in a certain part of the Xyz dimension. The two eventually strike up a bond and sometimes spend their down-time comparing their catch of the day.

Fuschia used to be in Obelisk Blue, but when his siblings came home crying one day after being bullied for being placed into Slifer Red, he swapped jackets the next day. Recognising that his precious little sister and brother could not possibly thrive in the harsh meritocratic system of Academia, Fuschia started to lay plans for emigration to another, more kinder dimension.

He was doing pretty well too, until...

The Vedelle siblings used to be a trio as well, but Viol and Arte only had each other left after the waves stole their youngest sibling (Noelle, belonging to @shshshotsz) in a tragic incident.

The two spend their weekends at the beach after the incident, hunting down the prettiest shell "to give to Noelle when we see her again!" as their younger sibling had been hunting for seashells that fateful day.

Unbeknowst to Arte, Noelle had been looking for a seashell that day after a comment Viol had made about Arte resembling one, and she had wished to present it to her older sister as a birthday gift.

When the sun sets, Viol and Arte toss the shell back into the ocean.

Arte was then carded around the start of the war and spent most of it as a card in Viol's possession, who carried her everywhere even as he hunted down Fusion soldiers that had wandered off by themselves as he demanded for answers on how to turn her back.

Little did he know he was in for an unexpected reunion when he volunteered to find and take down the rumoured Fusion soldier dressed in white that was single-handedly decimating their forces...

Post-canon is hijinks time, because the two end up being the teacher for the other's siblings!

After a series of events and happenstance, the two get reacquainted (highlights include Viol barely even remembering who Fuschia is because Fusion rats are all the same to him and Noelle asking Fuschia to give her driving lessons, etc) and eventually the two families come together and fuse overlay this joke is not working assimilate into one, with the Vedelles frequently going over to the Lents for Fuschia's homecooking.

@ygoc-week Day 7.2: The F in Free Day stands for Flower Language (Final)

i'm very normal about flowers and symbolism okay

Originally I picked the Hibiscus for Fuschia because it has a loud appearance just like him, but then I found out it represents fame, glory and riches?? Perfect for mr get that bread (he also likes the edible kind)

also apparently you can use it to denote if you're married or not in Hawaii well he sure is a househusband thumbs up emoji

With their dignified and noble appearance, I immediately looked towards white Chrysanthemums for Viol! They require lots of water, and this boy can pack so much ocean-related imagery

White chrysanthemums in particular also symbolise mourning and are used in many parts of the world at funerals, and he's had to deal with two major losses in his life (one before and one during the war).

According to this one Japanese blog I found, the name (kiku) comes from the word for dead end because it's the "last flower to bloom in the year" and that's very funny so apt to me because it symbolises the fate of those from the Fusion Dimension that crossed his path during the war (except for one little guy)

Jackie was another character where I assigned a flower to her out of vibes and then when I checked its symbolism it was a match made in heaven yippee

Camellias are bold, beautiful, and being winter bloomers, tough and resilient. As an orphan that climbed her way up the social ladder in the Synchro Dimension through years of shady side-jobs, that alone would have cinched the assignation, but on top of that, camellias also represent eternal love and long-lasting devotion as the petals and calyx fall together when the flower withers.

Jackie is a very social creature, and here, she's holding (slowly letting go of) yellow camellias, which represent friendship, highlighting what's most important to her...

The Ghost Orchid has no cool symbolism or flower language associated with it (yet, anyway) but it has plenty of characteristics to derive meaning from!

Inhabiting swamps and forests and blooming once a year or sometimes even none at all, it's an extremely rare specimen.

It's largely leafless, and relies on its roots rather than photosynthesis for nutrients. Likewise, instead of relying on others like how plants require sunlight, Fleur sets up her spider web throughout the Synchro Dimension to accomplish her goals.

Also, both she and the plant have the same little scarf!! (Another happy coincidence)

Bonus lore!! (since its related) Jackie also has a habit of assigning flowers and animals to all the women she meet (Viol is the odd exception) and keeps track of them in a little notebook she carries around (and me with a handy dandy excel sheet).

@ygoc-week Day 6.5(!?) 7: Free Day!

Today I want to take the chance to give a shout out to my friends in a certain discord server; without them I don't think I'd ever go so crazy and make so much OC content this year!

This is a height chart for (almost) all the OCs in our ARC-V AU (those with at least half a body anyway, lol), arranged by home dimensions! You can probably tell, but it goes from Synchro -> Standard/Pendulum -> Fusion -> Xyz. When characters appear twice it's usually to show the change in their heights (and/or emigration to another dimension) between during the events of the series and post-canon.

We're always looking for more people to join us in the fun! Even if your OC isn't based in ARC-V, feel free to make an AU version of them if you like; though if you just want somewhere to infodump about your YGO OC blorbo this is the place too!

Short one for today featuring an AU where the Vedelles swap dimensions!

It has two variants based on whether Fuschia (pink blorbo) also swaps dimension or not; he's the type of guy that's influenced easily by his surroundings, so in Xyz he's just a typical Resistance member.

Because Fuschia is in Slifer Red and Viol is in the Obelisk Force's Special Ops (his outfit is based on GX's Society of Light) you'd think they'd never interact.

However, Fuschia is friends with Abel and Arte, and his interest is piqued even further when he witnesses Fuschia's dueling skills that clearly do not align with Slifer Red's standards.

He stares holes into Fuschia and his pink hair across the school cafeteria often. Fuschia is equal parts perplexed and intimidated...

1. Fleur & Jackie (VS Hamelin)

The dazzling, dangerous duo of a heiress and a hitman-for-hire! Fleur was the one that gave Jackie her name, Jacqueline, from a romance novel she had been reading at the time.

Though they look like they share a standard master and servant relationship, the two are more like equals with a directional hierarchy. Partners-in-crime, if you will...

As a research student who's always struggling to get the Tops at her school to assist her in her thesis, Hamelin hates rich people for hoarding the very historical artefacts she needs for her research. With her Magikey deck and homemade gadgets, even state-of-the-art security systems don't stand a chance!

The next day after a failed heist at Fleur (after being foiled by Jackie), she bumps into him at the college. To her horror, Jackie learns her name, and from that day on seems to have decided that the two of them are now friends.

Jackie has no clue that Hamelin and the phantom thief are the same person, but somehow he constantly makes cryptic remarks that allude to such knowledge. It always sets off the wheel in Hammy’s head.

“Inviting me out for an outing after nightfall? Is she trying to get proof that I am the phantom thief by proving that the two of us can never be at the same place at the same time? But if I say no, then she has even more reason to suspect me! If I say yes, I’m playing right into her hands… Curses! A moth? More like a spider!” “(... She’s been thinking for a while now… Is she trying to think up a way to gently let me down? I feel a little bad… But I’m not giving up!)” <- innocently just wants to be friends

(The girl at the back is Jackie's childhood friend and unrequited-but-actually-requited crush, Eliza*)

2. Violentshipping Fuschia/Viol

In their clash during the war, Fuschia learnt the cruel reality of the dimensional war he was so happily participating in. He was to get a taste of his own medicine, but escaped his cardboard fate when Viol heard his desperate pleas about his siblings.

I'm slowly working on the specifics of their encounter but anyway here are bingo charts for the both of them filled by each other:

3. RGB trio (Fuschia & Abel* & Viol)

Fuschia thought he'd just have to avoid Viol for the rest of life as long as he worked at LDS, but little did he know meeting up with his old schoolmate, Abel, had a surprise in store for him... Their theme song is guy.exe by superfruit

4. Abel & Viol

After Abel defected to Xyz, the two ended up being in the same refugee camp. While they knew of each other's existence, they never spoke a word to each other for the entire war, only ever enjoying each other's silent company as they ate their meals in companiable silence. It was only after the war ended when they both returned to their 'spot' as a last hurrah of sorts that they finally exchanged names.

The two look stunning no matter the state they're in, and are often mistaken to be models. While they can be found hanging out at the most fashionable cafes in Maiami on the weekend, they'll also do the strangest things together, such as going fishing in the middle of a heavy storm.

5. Fusion Mean Girls (Fuschia + Auvria* + Abel +α)

At any given day during a school day, Fuschia and Auvria can be seen sitting at the back of the classroom doing anything but paying attention, such as painting their nails. Despite that, if you were to call on them, they'd be able to answer the question with ease. This catches the eye of a certain Obelisk Force member...

On the battlefield, the pink-headed pair often play a game to see who can collect more resistance scarves in a given time limit.

6. Arte & Alcidis

In school, the two quickly became friends over a shared interest in the field of design. While Alcie would hesitate calling Arte a friend then, the loss of her comforting presence during the war made him realise how reliant he had been on her company. During the invasion, he writes many letters (diary entries) to her, knowing that she would want to know everything that happened. the jump rings for zarc ray arrived!!... and they're the wrong size (and not the best color) 💀the wait continues while i go get more...
