#pointing a finger at myself btw #not even exaggerating there are so many things I had to unlearn because of this #on one hand he was my introduction to the general idea of analyzing films which would become a huge factor of how I enjoy films now #but on the other hand A LOT of his analysis was shitty and there was so much focus on kind of just cringing at things #that was obviously not directed towards him and was not intending to be analytical #but because there wasn't really any form of good film crit on youtube at the time young people would end up soaking up his interpretations #people blame a lot of bad film crit on cinemasins which is true but I think walker fed into it a lot too #aside from his other shitty stuff #squack
