i think it's hilarious that it was made by a bunch of people (gainax), like cardcaptor sakura (clamp), was it the norm back then? imagine pitching your ideas and a room full of writers and artists all nodding and agreeing, yes this is fucked up ill add it to the list. let's make angel with mindcontrol flashlight, and that guy got a raise.
