2023 Corvette Sales Stats Released

The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky just released Corvette sales stats for the 2023 model year and they offer a fun glimpse into driver’s preferences when it comes to America’s sportscar. In 2023, 53,785 drivers added a new Chevrolet Corvette to their garages, which falls only 22 units short of the all-time Corvette production record of 53,807 set in 1979. 27,943 of the new 2023 Corvettes were coupes, while 25,842 were convertibles. The high performance Z06 Corvette accounted for 6,413 of the 2023 Corvettes sold. Little red Corvettes made up more than 25% of the Corvettes sold, with 7,895 Torch Red examples and 5,785 in Red Mist. Corvette owners who chose the brown metallic Caffeine color (shown above) may be sitting on a future collector’s item, with only 536 in that color built in 2023. 2025 C8 Corvette ZR1 Spotted

The brand new 2025 C8 Corvette ZR1 was recently seen as it was undergoing testing. The vinyl camo is covering a striking exterior hiding underneath. There is a splitter aero element protruding from the bottom of the front fascia. The vinyl seems to be hiding a large central ridge running vertically down the front air intake, flanked by deep, square intakes towards the bumper corners. The profile of the vehicle shows off a coupe body style. The rear has the same sculpted wing that the Z07 package offered for the C8 Corvette Z06. There is a center-mounted exhaust treatment with four rounded tips, similar to the Z06 as well. The C8 ZR1 will be equipped with the 5.5L V8 LT6, and a pair of turbochargers. Output is estimated at 800 horsepower and 750 pound-feet of torque. 2024 Silverado HD ZR2 Production Start Date

Production of the 2024 Silverado HD ZR2 is slated to begin in August. Different from the 2024 Silverado HD, which is built both in Flint, Michigan and Oshawa, Canada, the ZR2 will only be produced in Flint. This is for reasons of manufacturing efficiency. One of the reasons being, the off-road variants of other GM nameplates like the Silverado 1500 ZR2 are also produced only in Flint. The 2024 Silverado HD ZR2 has a unique front grille, flow-tie emblem, unique wheel opening molding with integrated mudguards, ZR2 badging in the grille bar, and a 1.5-inch suspension lift. It will also have a new Off-Road mode to adjust the brakes, traction control, stability control, throttle response, transmission shifts, and locking rear axle. The Silverado HDZR2 is available exclusively in the 2500 Crew Cab configuration. As a standard, it has a naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine supplying 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. First Look at Collector’s Edition Camaro

Chevrolet is celebrating the retirement of the Gen Six Camaro by offering a final special Collector’s Edition on the LT/RS, LT1, SS and ZL1 trims. The 2024 Camaro Collector’s Edition will resurface ties that date back to the development of the first-generation Camaro. The original codename for the Camaro in the 1960s was Panther, which is the name of this Collector’s Edition as well. This recognizes that name through its colors, tones, design and panther representations. The Collector’s Edition Camaro will have a new Panther Black Metallic Tintcoat paint, Satin Black accent strips, 20-inch Satin Black or optional Polished Forged Wheels, and the front splitter from the 1LE package. All of the vehicles will receive a serialized steering wheel badge representing where the vehicle was built, and the front fender script will integrate a panther into the “R”. The Collector’s Edition will also come with a welcome kit, and the ZL1 owners will receive a custom Shinola watch. Dealers begin accepting orders for the 2024 Camaro on June 15th, with a starting MSRP of $32,495 for the LT coupe, and $38,495 for the LT convertible. Chevrolet Corvette Dominates Q4 2022 Market Share

The Q4 2022 sales statistics for the sports car segment are in, and we’re happy to announce the Chevrolet Corvette dominated its competitors taking a 58 percent market share. In Q4 of 2021 8,293 Corvettes were sold and increased about 10 percent reaching 9,130 units in Q4 of 2022. Sharing the space with the Porsche 911 and 718 in addition to the Mercedes-Benz AMG SL-Class and AMG GT, their market share didn’t even add up to 58 percent with Porsche’s two entries at 25 percent and Mercedes’s at 12 percent. We’re looking forward to seeing how this year’s numbers will stack up against last year’s especially with the new E-Ray becoming available later this year! 2023 Corvette Wins Car and Driver’s 10Best List

Currently in its third model year, the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette has recently been named to Car and Driver’s prestigious “10Best Cars” list for 2023. This win marks the sixth consecutive year for the Corvette. The C8 was praised for its driver versatility, catering to the grand tourer, daily grocery-getter, and track monster. In order to be a contender for the list, vehicles must be a sedan, hatchback, two-seater, sports car or electric sports car and must be available for sale by January 31st and priced under $110,000. After driving every vehicle that fit the criteria, each vehicle was then ranked on a scale of zero to 100 with the 10-highest averages named to the list.
