My First Heritage Boots: Red Wing Iron Ranger 8111 Amber Harness

I started to see on my News Feed on Facebook the pictures of Red Wing Boots in a Page which used to advertise the availability of the said Boot brand in the Local Market. While I was reviving my You Tube Channel, I would see a lot of Thumbnails about the Red Wing Shoes. I was intrigued that the FB Page and You Tube has lot of Likes/Members on FB and Videos that I started to browse on the past posts and comments, and videos. Little did I know about Heritage Boots, more so, with the brand of Red Wing Shoe. Curiosity on the said brand led me to read more about its history and and the influence that it contributed in fashion and outside wear. Since July 2020, I started to read articles and watch videos on the shoes that carried the brand of Red Wing Shoe.

Although I have some Dress Boots in my wardrobe, I just simply stopped using them 3 years ago as I shifted to use the Onitsuka Tiger sneakers from Japan. Two years ago, I would buy such sneakers whose models would take me back during those times when I was running as a result of the “Running Boom” in the early and later parts of the 70s. Onitsuka Tiger started to be popular then as a Running Shoes of elite and Olympic runners!

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and Lockdown, I simply stopped buying and collecting the Onitsuka Tiger sneakers which are Nippon Made! However, when the Lockdown started to ease up, I started to plan for my first purchase of the Red Wing Shoe. So, last October 9, 2020, I purchased my first Iron Ranger Boots which is the Model 8011 Amber Harness. I was planning to buy the Model 8085 but I was not attracted with the color of the leather. My first Iron Ranger established my true size in the Heritage Boots as Size 8D! I hope my Red Wing Size would be the same size with the other Heritage Boots in the market.

This is the picture of my First Iron Ranger from Red Wing Shoes which was taken during the first week on undergoing its “breaking-in” period!
