Life had a funny way of working out…
Miguel smiled as he looked across at Garrett; his boyfriend of the last four years, who was sitting in the passenger seat of his car.
Five years ago he’d been a wreck. He’d fucked up his job; lost his long term partner, and was on the verge of doing something he’d regret. Yet here he was, having taken a chance on some random guy in a bar, with the most stable, loving relationship he’d ever had, and an extended family that they were about to meet up with over dinner to celebrate Garrett’s birthday.
“Now, remember.” He said, reaching over and kissing him. “The kids worked really hard to put this surprise dinner together. You go in there, and you pretend that it’s the first surprise party you’ve ever been to. Else you’re not getting your birthday present from me. Understand?”
He also couldn’t help but gulp a little nervously once he’d pressed another kiss to his boyfriends lips, trying to cover it up by wiping at his newly-grown goatee.
Why? Oh, the ring box in his pants most likely gave the surprise away.

For the thruple. (Bel/Ekal and Ash)
(it says injury but we came up with something better)
"What? Say that again?" Belial stared at the doctor as she went over the ultrasound once more.
"She's going to have four babies, quadruplets. Don't see that too often even with you demon folk." He writes some notes on a chart with a long pen with small crystals down the side. "Congrats to you three." @scarred-by-monsters

Private showing
@scarred-by-monsters
It wasn't normal for the family to put on a private showing, but some bug wigs had insisted on then doing so, and had paid a lot of money for it as well. There wasn't a single citizen in the stands, just crime bosses and politicians, anyone who had money really. The bigwigs had beautiful woman and men, in corsets and tight clothes serving them drinks and food. And various other pleasures if they so desired. The audience really was mostly made up of some of the worse possible people.
Pluto was always the one to introduce the next act. First it was Livius kids Kali and Aziz, who did acrobatics, and Kali had specialized on the tight rope. Livius other kid, Rocco, would bring out a beautiful mermaid, introducing her as Ginger, and she would do flips and tricks in her tank, even blowing kisses to some of the men in the stands. Next would be Livius himself, being the strongman of the family, and kifting incredibly heavy weights. Last but kot least would be Pluto's children, Revelry and Ubel. They weren't doing an act person, they were actually showing off the Automatons that Revelry had created, and the various potions and poisons that Ubel had made, clearly trying to sell them to whoever was willing to pay the price.
At the end of the show, Pluto would come out say, "that's the end of our show folks, if you wish to purchase some of various services, an automaton a vial, or even one of our girls or boys, please meet us in the backroom to discuss price."

Shipwrecked
@scarred-by-monsters
The shadow isles had been plagued by pirates for the last several weeks. Various shipments they had sent out to their allies had been overtaken, and their fishermen had been attacked multiple times.
Murdoch had the various nobel families had been advising a plan to stop these pirates, but without them knowing it was actually nature that started to take them down. There was a massive storm near the shadow isles, and all of the boats were meant to come towards shore before the storm hit.
The morning after the storm, one of the nobel families found a shipwreck on their family island. This family consisted of two sister's and their brother, and all three were witches. They were the only witches within the Shadow Isles as well. The oldest of the group would be the first to go to the wreck, checking to see if there were any suriviors. The other two would work on a letter to the King.

forest encounter
Plotted with @scarred-by-monsters // Matty and Nedra - HP and Modern
Tumblr media
She was out and about, traveled across the world almost to find and list all magical creatures. Why they did not assign someone from here  was a a mystery, but she liked to travel so she didn’t mind.
Now she was in a forest, it was old and she could nearly hear the trees telling their stories , this was a good place to find magical creatures. She sat on a tree stump silently and waited, usually the magical animals came out when there was no danger. She had no idea she was sitting on someone’s land.
The sky went dark suddenly, there was a rumble and it started to rain. Well that was something she was not prepared for but she would still do her work despite of getting wet from the rain. The thunder was more a threat and she hoped it would go away.

@scarred-by-monsters:
“ Im fine.” He groaned, baring his teeth as pain shot through him.
He had found his quarry, trying to fight him to the death. In all honestly, Adrian should have been dead. But he wasn’t.
Darius had let him live.
“ I’ll be fine in a little bit.” He repeated, licking his lips. “ besides, Im better than I was half an hour ago.”
“I am not asking if you were in a worse state or not,” answered Ilienne, frowning. “And I know I’m not the best nurse possible, but that’ll need to suffice for now. Unless you’d rather go to see a doctor. I’m pretty sure it’d be a better idea, but I needed to stop the bleeding.”
Now, as she finished, she tied the bandage, then stepped aside, biting her thumb, as if it could help her calm her nerves.

Kai had been missing for weeks, and the only clue to where he had gone was a note he had left behind in his home. He was heading to the San Diego Quantine Zone, which was still a good few 100 miles of walking from where they were. No one knew why Kai left but at first they wouldn't go after him. If he wanted to run off and join a band of hunters then that was his choice, but... Haya knew they needed him. They couldn't just let him run off to do whatever he wanted.
Haya was a woman who was about 5'10, she was wearing a tank top, Jean shorts, and hiking boots. She had a backpack with a hunting rifle and bow on it. She had black hair that was done up in a bun currently. Emile was 6'4 and built like a quarter back. His hair was blonde, and he also had a backpack. This one had a shotgun attacked to it and another rifle. There was also a metal baseball bat attached as well.
They were walking through the words coming up to an old dam and the two could hear the distant sound of clickers from one of the near by buildings.

Dive Bar Blues
@scarred-by-monsters
Fuck this…
First week as a qualified teacher… first week as a fully-employed teacher… And how was he celebrating finally reaching the end of his week? Sitting in a bar, brooding over a lukewarm beer, with a bunch of papers to pore over in an attempt to familiarise himself with his school’s procedures.
Having only graduated with his masters’ degree in Summer aged 23, he’d jumped into the first History Teacher position he’d been able to find – which in turn had been in a local high school; one that didn’t have a particularly good reputation… But it was a job. And it was a well-paying one, at that.
Somewhere behind him he heard the door jingle as a group of people entered, most probably college students, seemingly too enthralled in their own conversations to care about the fact that the bar was near-on empty.
There goes my quiet night…

Continued from here.
Belial took a few deep breaths and his eyes flickered back to their normal blue. "Yeah. I'm fine. Thank you for helping. I'm going to have to get a new phone case. She pissed me off way faster than I expected." @scarred-by-monsters

@scarred-by-monsters
Ash sighed, looking around the unfamiliar room for a few moments. Then opened the window and climbed out. She didnt want to be here. She wanted to be back home in Michigan, regardless of how bad it had gotten. When she reached the street, Ash took off in a random direction; just wanting to be alone.
Arcadia Bay sucked.
No two ways about it -- Arcadia Bay sucked major balls. It was a little, shit-hole of a town with nothing being in its favor besides the fact that it was, ultimately, a pit-stop on the way to Portland.
So was there any wonder she’d often find herself wandering aimlessly?
She’d stopped by main street; in particular her local convenience store to pick up a pack of cigarettes, and was stepping out with one hanging from her mouth, fingers flicking at her lighter in an attempt to light it up, when she was abruptly halted.
Her cigarettes fell to the floor, along with her lighter, as she collided with whoever it was that had decided to get in her way. Chloe grunted, helpless as her cigarettes fell and spewed out of the packet. Her head came up, readying herself to chew out whoever it was who had instigated the tragedy, but stopped in her tracks.
A girl a little younger than herself stood before her, looking rough to say the very least. So much so it had any profanity she’d planned on using dying in her throat.
“... are you okay?”

Snow and Fire - YULE - Closed
@scarred-by-monsters
Downstairs in the morning the house was... lively to say the least, warm heavy scents lifted through the air up the stairs from the space Ash and Reese had decorated and kept tidy for when people would arrive to celebrate Yule. There was laughter and music also drifting up the stairs and Reese singing and playing guitar.
Tumblr media
There was a woman singing downstairs with him as well her rich voice complimenting his well as she laughed with. Apparently, the celebration had already begun.

A kiss to prove a point. From Ash.
Well sometimes Fenrir had no real idea what Ash wanted to prove with that kiss. That she was there and that she wouldn't go away.He figured that out or that she would kiss him randomly.
"I think I am not getting your point in kissing me in that situation."

It had been three weeks since the guy their leader had taken a fancy too had disappeared, and a few things had happened. One, they no longer had enough fuel. Two, their food supplies were beginning to run short. And three, Ashlyn had disappeared. She had gone on a run with two others, and they had all disappeared. Now they were waiting for something to happen. Either their leader to return, or for someone to go find her. No one was currently willing to go find her.
Tolaas had shown up again with more supplies, dragging several large bins behind him from the shed, with the help of a couple of demons.  They rolled the carts over to the entrance of the gates, and the demons scuttled off.
Tolaas banged on the entrance and waited.  Then waited.  Normally someone was on lookout at the top of the gates, and someone would have come to open the doors by now, but nothing.  He waited again.
Then banged one more time.
