I'm loving my new skirt so much. I made this from three pairs of old work jeans (one that had been Greg's and two that had been Lytenian's). The jeans were bought second hand, worn until they had holes in the knees, and are now this incredible skirt. I lined the inside with organic cotton flannel, and I used more material than required to cover the inside, creating an air pocket between the jean layer and the cotton layer. Wearing this skirt is like wearing a duvet. It is SO FREAKING WARM. I can be naked under this skirt in a room that is 60ºF and be toasty-comfy-warm and I'm someone who usually runs cold. Plans for a new dress. I bought this denim cotton fabric while on holiday recently and drew a quick sketch of roughly what I'm planning for it. A simple elastic waist dress.
