BACKGROUND —

anavieve was raised by her uncle, alongside her cousin, in a quiet town not far outside of new york.

they lived out the back of the bar that her uncle owned, but they frequently visited new york city due to other work of his.

anavieve idolised her uncle, though it mightn't have been the best idea. his work wasn't legal, his dealings criminal, and while he protected anavieve and his daughter to the best of his ability, they were exposed to nasty dealings far too young.

in particular, anavieve was always getting caught up in his trouble. he was her favourite person; she always wanted to be like him, be near him, even when it wasn't safe.

once anavieve was old enough to understand that he was involved in some dodgy things, she still wanted to join in and to help.

when told she was unable to join in on his criminal activity, anavieve naturally found her own trouble.

it was through her own criminal activity that anavieve got into chemistry, after a failed experiment in chemistry class at school gave her the idea to start using dangerous concoctions for her own gain ( to melt or blast doors open, for example ).

from there, anavieve's talents and skills only grew. her participation in the criminal activity escalated, even despite her uncle's growing concerns and warning.

it reached its climax shortly after anavieve's twenty-fourth birthday; by this point, she had gotten herself mixed up in some pretty dangerous dealings, as had her uncle - separately.

her and her uncle's paths crossed in a heist gone wrong; it was the first time it had happened, despite knowing mutual people and frequenting the same places, and it ended in his imprisonment.

anavieve's uncle had attempted to help her out of a mess when he was finally caught by law enforcement; he assisted her with her getaway split seconds earlier.

so anavieve promised her uncle that her time involved with trouble of that scale was over, in order to apologise for getting him put behind bars for years to come, and she put her knowledge to a much more mundane occupation.

trouble still calls out to her, she's constantly itching for adventure, but her weekly visits with her uncle have kept her hands clean - so far.

WANTED CONNECTIONS —

clients - people that anavieve tutors in chemistry, for whatever reason ( perhaps they're in college, need to know for research, or just wish to learn more. they're likely going to be shocked when they learn just how smart she is.

crime friends - those she was close to when she lived a life of crime; she never did anything to directly hurt others, but it was pretty sketchy. they could be past that time in their lives, too, or maybe they're still in the thick of it and are terrible influences for anavieve.

new friends - or tbh, they could even have been older friends, but they're not in the crime scene in any way, and they're connections that help anavieve stay out of trouble ( whether they know it or not ! )

adventure friends - they like excitement just as much as anavieve does, so they're constantly by her side when she's off on some new adventure.

exes - flings, hook ups, one night stands, or fully committed relationships. anavieve is an extremely love oriented person, so she's definitely somewhat of a serial monogamist. she has a habit of getting overly attached too quickly, so i could see her coming on too strong being an issue with her love life. all other details can be plotted between us ! any gender, similar age preferred.

love interest - i think it would be super nice if anavieve found somebody who really encouraged the better sides of her. someone who helped her find her potential in safe and healthy spaces ! all of the details can be plotted between us, but the tldr is that i just think she deserves a healthy relationship. any gender !
