Done with salted egg yolks: week of 6/7/21
Quieter week, but finally used up the salted egg yolks and made the chiffon cake.
Seeded soft sourdough sandwich bread
Grade: B+
Toasted the seeds this time. Also baked my cutting board which resulted in a mysterious strange smell. Oops.

Sourdough chocolate chip hazelnut scones
Grade: A-
Should’ve used baking soda to reduce the acidity, but otherwise tasted nice, and having the flakiness from the butter was great.

Modifications: double cream instead of heavy cream; chocolate chips and toasted hazelnuts as mix-ins

Grade: A-
I think the savoriness could’ve been stronger and maybe the cake could’ve risen better, but I really like the taste.

Modifications: substituted 50g sourdough starter for 8-inch recipe (baked in 4-inch tube pans + ramekin); reduced sugar
