begging ao3 authors to stop tagging works with both 'hurt/comfort' and 'hurt no comfort'. these are not compatible tags. only one of them can be true. stop doing this

#the cryptid speaks #the ONLY exception i can think of for this off the top of my head #would be a fic that has multiple endings; one with comfort and one without #and even then PLEASE note that in the tags or SMTH so i understand WHY u have both tags #bc in general they are not compatible!!!!! there is either comfort or there isnt!!!!!! pick!!!!! #and if u need 'hurt little comfort' or 'bittersweet' or 'h/c but with an open ending' there are OTHER tags for that #stop using both h/c and hnc on the same fic!!!!!!!!! ur killin me here!!!!!!! #sincerely . a guy who reads a Lot of h/c and is sick of seeing this/occasionally getting tricked by this
