YOOOOO!!!!! I've finally come up with a question that doesn't make me feel like a complete idiot for asking it!!! I've always wondered what specifically f!Berkut said to au!Berkut but that thought process just lead to other things. When f!Berkut uses his special Rinea shows up for a moment. I have to ask did your au!Berkut see that Rinea? Does au!Berkut feel guilt whenever he looks at Rinea even though he didn't actually sacrifice her to Duma? That's all thank you for your time! ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ
ok so first off i just wanna say, sorry for taking a few days to get to this but i wanted to give myself time to let the ideas simmer and uh... do research-
SO! to make this easier to read imma answer each question individually, one at a time
and uhh hopefully this isn’t unnecessarily long lmao-
1. What specifically did F!Berkut say to AU!Berkut?
ok so first off, and this will apply for like everything in this post, as this au is connected to FEH, all the voicelines/forging bonds convos/etc. will be treated as canon. with that said, in the c conversation for the forging bonds f!berkut was in, he pretty much refers to normal berkut as ignorant and weak.  but, knowing berkut he would probably be disgusted with f!berkut, and confront him with something like “i’ll never stoop to your level of needing to rely on someone else’s power >:[” and then f!berkut just replies with something very taunting and mildly ominous (tbh the first panel of this dumb comic i made kinda demonstrates what i mean rlly well, which is ironic bc this comic is lowkey one of the reasons i made this a whoops) and then berkut is just like “wh- what are you talking about” and f! berkut just dips and/or gets told off by the summoner, but berkut is already shook at this point-
so yeah i hope that made sense-
2. Did AU!Berkut see Witch!Rinea?
short answer is probably not. long answer is though she does show up in f!berkut’s special art, she doesn’t show up with his map sprite (though how sick would it be if she did, like how b!micaiah has yune with her) and, going back to forging bonds as well as several other various f! berkut lines, f!berkut is actively looking for rinea (or more specifically, his rinea), and since in sov he recognizes witch!rinea as rinea in the cutscene before the f!berkut fight, i think it’s fair to say she isn’t there. however, he does atleast find out about her when he makes b!/l!/v!alm (any of em work bc all are post-sov events (to my knowledge)) tell him what the fuck happened.
3.Does AU!Berkut feel guilty, despite not sacrificing rinea?
ok so, he definetly does, but it’s a bit complicated.  rather than the guilt decreasing with time, it actually increases with time during the actual events of sov (like acts 3-5) because despite his best efforts, berkut is really having a hard time changing things, and the impending sense of doom and dread (tm) just keeps getting worse.  as far as post events of sov goes, initially he’s just like “oh god it’s over” and starts to finally let go of the guilt, but then uh oh shit’s getting not good (see: this post if you haven’t read it already-) and here comes the exestentail dread again, and moreso than guilt fear. just pure fear that he’s going to lose control and hurt rinea, which is obviously the last thing he wants. but yknow the guilt also comes back, but in a moreso “oh god did i fail to fix things” kinda way.
so yeah! that’s basically it! and like,,,, thank u so much for the questions and being interested in my au it means so much to me ;v;
[it wont let me tag you so i hope you get the notif that i answered this h-]

Important Plot Differences in 'Winter Comes to Valentia'
I mean this is called an AU for a reason. And these days I'm an absolute sucker for changing parts of the plot I wish had gone differently. :3
-Some of the characters who are rescues on Alm's path are recruited through a different scenario. Clair evades capture and hides out, evetually meeting up with the party in order to avoid capture rather than be released from it. Mathilda escapes capture mid-battle, and Tatiana is recruited while trying to find a way to escape from Nuibaba's abode.
-Rinea survives and is not made into a witch by Berkut. Being an old friend of Satu's, she is in posession of an amulet imbued with magic given to her by Satu that temporarily freezes Berkut when he turns on her. It gives her enough time to flee back to the palace and find help. Fernand, however, isn't so lucky, and he is still attacked by Berkut in this scenario after Berkut is unfrozen.
-In a similar fashion, Saga prevents Jedah from capturing Celica and manipulating her into giving her soul to Duma. Because of Celica and Saga's bond, she confesses early about the deal between her and Jedah, and the party is able to help her out. A small battle with Jedah takes place at the end of Duma tower where Saga expends a considerable amount of energy to freeze Jedah and keep him frozen and unable to harm the tean until help can arrive. The team barricade themselves inside a safe section of the Temple of Duma and try to find a way to contact the outside for help, and defend their spot from an Assault by the Duma faithful. Unfortunately, Saga is unable to help much, as the spell to keep Jedah out of things for a while exhausted her physically and temporarily dampened her abilities.
-Because Satu spent many years in Ram village, the character Faye developed a somewhat different personality to the one people are familar with in canon. Faye is fiercly protective of all her friends, and while she does have affection for Alm, it's not as obcessive as in game. However, she is brutal to people who hurt her friends, and takes it upon herself to learn how to hunt with Satu so she can help keep people in the Deliverance fed. She also has a knack for mending clothing and stitching wounds.
-Conrad joining Celica's team happens differently as well, and he does NOT slap Celica in this version. (It is my opinion that whole scene was bullshit and initially I extremely disliked Conrad because of it. His other scenes and dialogue after he joined changed my mind, but that, that was not cool and I'm punting out of the plot and into the garbage.)
-INSTEAD, Saga attempts to intervene and bolster Celica's resolve and is attacked by Dolth. Conrad swoops in and teams up with Celica to defeat him in a very badass manner.

Upcoming Verse- Echoes AU: Winter Comes to Valentia
I am currently in the process of completing Fire Emblem Echoes. While I love certain aspects of the game (dungeon crawling, the art, the voice work, some characters and plot threads) I take issue with a number of major plot points and characters (or character moments) in the game. This AU is a complete rewrite of the plot of Fire Emblem Echoes, taking some base skeletal events but replacing, or adding new events to the story.
I am also taking a bit of a different approach for this verse, in that I have two self-inserts occurring in the same story at the same time. While each is a version of myself, they are also in a sense their own individual characters.
This verse centers around a pair of identical manakete twins- Saga and Satu. Originally, they hail from the home continent of Duma and Mila, but they hail from a tribe originally thought by others to have completely fallen to Manakete curse: The ice tribe. As it turns out, a small group of very young ice dragons accepted the solution of dragonstones, and the twins were among them. However, with so much of their tribe succumbed to degeneration, they were spurred to leave Archaenea and begin a new life elsewhere.
They were granted passage to Valentia, but through a series of tragic events (to be determined), the twins became separated, believing the other twin to be dead. Satu eventually is recruited into the Deliverance (Alm’s army), while Saga joins Celica in her ventures.
Eventually, Satu found her way to Rigel for a time, spending time as a maid for a little noble girl named Rinea, but then fled south into Zofia and went as far as Ram Village where she joined a young boy named Alm and his friends who sought to join the Zofian rebel group, the Deliverance. She has promised Rinea she will one day return to Rigel. At one point, she splits from Alm’s group to do so, and based on certain actions, can rescue Rinea from her fate at the hands of Berkut. However, be warned: do not let her anywhere near Fernand. Serious mortal injury will probably come to him if that happens.
Satu most easily gets along with Kliff, Mathilda, Alm, Delthea, and Silque. She and Lukas butt heads, but generally she likes him. She’s neutral to warm towards Python, Claire, and Luthier. She butts heads more with Clive. She admires Forsyth’s ideals and supports his ambitions, but finds him a bit goofy at times. She tends to view Tobin’s competitive nature with some annoyance, but encourages him to improve his skills through practice bouts. She encourages Faye to open up about herself as a person, and helps her to not base her identity on other people (Faye is this AU is notably different than Faye in canon Echoes, but is still recognizable). The one person in the army she really, REALLY doesn’t get along with is Gray (she thinks he’s rather full of himself).  Saga on the other hand found her way to the monastery at Novis, arriving at their doorstep badly injured and traumatized. She is cared for by the people there, including a young Celica. Saga pledges herself to nurture Celica in her journey as Celica nursed Saga back to health. If recruited, she can open up a completely different path in the story where Celica doesn’t surrender herself to Duma.
Saga gets along best with Celica, Atlas, Conrad, Genny, Est, and Sonya (if recruited). She also gets along reasonably well with Palla and Catria. She is neutral towards Deen and Nomah (if recruited). She isn’t the most keen on Mae and Boey, but gets along with them well enough when it comes to combat and day to day activities. She can be a bit mothering when it comes to them, though.
The only characters she doesn’t truly get along with are Jesse and Saber. With the latter she tends to butt heads over how to treat Celica and how to advise her best. As with Jesse, she finds herself extremely wary of him because of his overtly flirtatious nature. More than anything, she tends to avoid him if she can help it.
