#good grief #good grief (2023) #2024filmgifs #my gifs #queer film #i didn't love that as much as i thought i would #but i liked it a whole lot #every character was so rich and had their own life #which i wanted especially for our friends of colour #and i knew Dan would be conscious of that #and he was #Himesh Patel's performance was so wonderful #i need to see him in more stuff #and of course Ruth Negga was excellent #the grief stuff didn't feel particularly profound #but i did like the brain as a muscle thing #and i remember when Redmond died #how shocked and distressed i was for Dan #i hope he makes more films #and i know he'll evolve as a storyteller #he's so dear to me #i recognise so much of myself in him #it's such an odd thing #i FELT that paint alone line so much #like yes same i want the same thing for me
